And yet another football game, this one called Axis Football 18. There must be some legal stuff brewing for these companies to start working on and releasing football games. Maybe they are taking the opportunity to sell their gameplay ahead of any future legal changes to EA's exclusivity with the NFL and the likeness issue on the NCAA side.
First I heard of this one was today.

Nothing beats my 1986 season statis pro football! Just a shame that my Eagles sucked that year.

Nothing beats my 1986 season statis pro football! Just a shame that my Eagles sucked that year. The best computer football game ever made in my opinion was Frontpage Sports NFL Football. Simply fantastic game. Their baseball game was great also. had that on amiga 500. How good. |

Simply fantastic game. Their baseball game was great also. Was that the one that allowed play designing -- both offense and defense? Think it was published by Sierra, wasn't it? Played that back in the day too. Enjoyed it a lot, but game code was buggy at times -- led to game crashes, and the series' demise ultimately. |

Enjoyed it a lot, but game code was buggy at times -- led to game crashes, and the series' demise ultimately. Yep, that's the franchise. I played it throughout the series. Some years were bugged but others were ok. I think '97/'98 was best. Of course, this was back in the day when update patches were not a thing so we had to live with bugs in every game lol. |
