Hi everyone,
As most of you are aware, the person who was running this contest appears to have taken a sabbatical from TGCT. However, with the contest already past the halfway point, there's been indications that more than a few of us would like to make sure our efforts are not in vain.
Been chatting with bogeyman , who is taking over the playing portion of the Pandora competition, at least through the end of the current season and @stowey had suggested perhaps creating a new society with the created course. Which route we decide is TBD at this point (mainly waiting to see if Pandora will continue after this season), but either way, we're going to see the design contest through. So with that being said, if you wish to carry on, please do so. If you are out, let me know in this thread or via PM and I'll move the course name to the "unclaimed" list.
We'll keep everything the same. Except I'm going to move the deadline back a 10 hours to 4 a.m. GMT Saturday, April 28. That's 10 p.m. CDT Friday, April 27 for me which ensures I won't be at work when the contest window closes. Regardless of what the conduit is for us playing the courses, we'll have a poll in this thread from Saturday, April 28 through Sunday, May 6. Most votes at the end wins bragging rights and the satisfaction of a job well done (at least that's all I got when I won the last one
).
Here's the list as we have it right now. I'll go ahead and update as courses are finished and move those courses to the top of the list. Additionally, we still have some unclaimed names if anyone would like to join in. I know 3 weeks doesn't sound like much time, but I was able to crank out both 9-hole courses I've done in that timeframe.
