Big shout out to @ab1980 for his generous donation of 50k. Truly blessed to have such wonderful and supportive friends in the community. AB stepping up big time! Awesome to see, and emblematic of the comradery that makes the group of folks in this society so great to play with. We really have a great group here, and I just want to say I admire the players that come week after week even if their scores are never in the top, they are totally appreciated by me. It shows determination to conquer the course not the top scores. |

Got my new GPU which means butter smooth tempo but it also means I gotta get used to the 4k swing over the 2k swing. It is different so I'm struggling a bit trying to find the swing. SO far tho, no stuttering that I can see that is interrupting tempo. I shot something in the -20s with a few bogeys which surprised me.
It was a good little course. Very easy but it made you have to think about your t-shots. I really wish I had more time to play a few rounds before diving in blindly like I did, but I just don't have the time. I saw a few short cuts that I TRIED to replicate but having never played ended up shooting myself in the foot more often than I should have.
Btw, Smooth told me if he wins he is donating 20k to the society. I think that is so nice of him. I think everyone should give him some kudos and root for his win.

Well, in the first round today I had 27 putts including 2 lip-outs and misses from 5, 6, 8, and 9 feet. I also had a 300 yard hole in one on a par 4, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

A little better in the second round with only 21 putts, but I had 3 lip-outs, so I finished 5 shots back at -24. Hitting the ball as well as ever these days, but my putting's been pretty atrocious the last week or so.

Just waiting for Gemini to get on and clip me after his stellar -17 opening round. Those are always fun to play, when the game just seems to easy that it almost becomes an afterthought whether you're going to make birdie or not. Great playing Brad!

Struggled a bit on the front nine and finished -5, then came to the back nine where I went -10. Going Eagle, Eagle, Birdie (missed the hole in one by an inch) really helped me on the back nine.
Finished up and just couldn't convert some key putts. Still had two eagles but missed just too many 10foot putts. Finished -11 for -26.

I thought it about time i made a donation to this society since its really the only one i play in these days, so i have dropped you 100 k, now this is not to buy yourself new frocks Carol, it is to pay out these W.T. boys that keep running off with all your money, especially that Smoothe one. hehe
