Played my rounds and started off immediately with a bogey. From there I played about the best golf as I have ever played in a long while, going -17 over the next 17 holes to end with 56 (-16). My swings, my approaches and especially my putting was deadly.
Started round two and immediately pulled my drive left into the heavy rough behind a tree. Had a 60-75% lie and played a massive hook to end up just before the green where i chipped in for birdie. I had a few more holes where I pushed/pulled my drive and somehow barely made it into the fairway. I chipped in for another two birdies I didn't deserve before finally giving one stroke back. Pulled my drive on #18 into the woods and limped home with a par 5. Still I played pretty damn good in the high winds of the front 9 and ended up with a 60 (-12) for a -28 total. Honestly I think if I could have avoided those two bogeys, I'd feel very comfy at -30 for the win. -28 I think someone can catch me.
Gauntlet laid, good luck folks.

Very Very nice shooting, let's hope someone(ahem starts with a B ends with a 3) doesn't come along and grab that first place spot on you

Had a good front 9 in the first round, -8. Couldn't sink a putt on the back 9, -3. Started the second round pretty well, was -6 through 8. Had a quadruple bogey on 9. Also 3-putted from 7 feet on 13. Ended up -7 for the round, 10 shots back for the tournament. Clearly not my best showing around here.

If he does I have no one to blame but myself on the second round. But in the end only ONE of us has a Green Jacket. Honestly, that first round was just one of those rounds where I couldn't miss. I don't get those rounds very often. I figured that with some of those pins I'd have at least a 3-4 stroke advantage on the field after round 1.

Looks like smoothe took a tourney off... Tried to rush and play last night, but didn't finish round 1. Didn't really have the time and my score through the first howevermany holes showed (don't remember how far I got)...so I figured I'd take the WD due to back-ache and get my rest in ahead of the next event .

Good lord, just about everything went wrong for me in the first round tonight, starting with 3 lip-outs and a chip than went in-and-out in just the first 5 holes.
Ended up shooting 65/57 with 52 putts including 5 or 6 lip-outs and probably 10 chips I missed by inches.

First round had two quick eagles (one a huge uphill/downhill, triple breaker of 33 feet) on the front nine and went out with a -8 which was pretty good in those winds. Unfortunately I coudln't keep up the pace and finished -4 on the second nine for -12 or two behind Smooth.
Round three I eagled three of the par fives to have eagled 5 in two rounds, a record for me in competition. Coming down late I bogeyed the par three at the end but birdied the last to clip Smooth by one at -26. I honestly didn't know what Smooth's score was on the second nine and I'm kinda glad that I didn't cause I would have felt the pressure for sure. I just knew that I had to put up a huge number and those three eagles really solidified it. That last par 5 I eagled was completely luck. I had intended to hit the front of the green and ride the ridge around but I hit the rough to the left and it bounced a couple times towards the water but never quite far enough to go in, and I ended up 5 feet below the hole. Pure luck.

If only I could have put together my first round like I did on my second, I would have been pleased. But the golf gods lately have refused to shine down on me. Congrats to vixenvikki for her hole in one (happened to pop up on me as I was practicing a round). I thought this course was top notch, my balls kept skirting the edge of the cup refused to go in. His greens were tough but fair. Getting time for a major event soon me thinks, just have to decide what course will fit into that category. Drop me a suggestion!

Not going to do it in conjunction with the Open? BTW TWO Weeks in a row.. I'm on a roll.... lets start the new season as of last week okay? I've lost my form between last week and this one, somehow. My swing has been all over the place, multiple misses right per-round, it's going downhill quickly. Going to get my first strike ever after this week's WT performance, though it's kind of a miracle I got to -38 with that swing and a 3rd round 67 (yikes!). Hopefully I'll be able to get things back together soon and start challenging you for some of those wins.

Not sure for one simple reason, I might have to end season sooner than that due to how many courses we have already done. So let's see how that goes. Keep up the good golfing and throw some of that luck my way please!

Strike for me this week .. first in a while hopefully I can at least do better next week to clear it, but I am not a fan of the course coming up.

First round I couldn't get the hang of these greens. I think Warhawk went a little nuts with the "lets put 5 minor breaks into a 10 foot putt" brush. I had so many putts that had three or so breaks from within 10 feet. Struggled hard including a three putt from 8 feet and ended -9. I look at the leaderboard in the second round as I made the turn at -6 and realized I'm 10 strokes back from the leader who is at -25. I'm thinking I'm done and then it happened. I put my second shot on #10 in the hole for an eagle. Okay outside shot. Went -8 from there on to shoot -10 for the back nine, -16 for the round and tied at -25. I almost went -11 as my 3rd shot on 18 brushed barely past the hole and just didn't spin enough back leaving me 8 inches for birdie. The secret of beating these greens, get within 6 feet and have a couple putts loop in. Good luck all this has some tricky greens!
