Just suggesting that we combine all CC-Am discussion into one thread and all CC-Pro discussion into one thread.
I'm currently in CC-D and I always poke through CC-E and CC-Z threads to see what people are saying about the course. Since we are all playing the same course I think it would be easier to combine the discussion.
There isn't much chit chat in those threads as it is. It would give a better sense of community to combine them.
My proposition: Lock the 6 current individual CC tour threads and create 2 new joint threads for CC Pro and CC Am.
Feel free to let me know what you think!
Thanks for reading.

That’s how it used to be, and I’m not sure why it changed.

I think it just evolved into what it is now. I started out when it was the "Challenge Circut" but because of growth things were changed to add more levels to accommodate the influx of players and different skills.
How we started to divide it into separate groups I think was just an evolution. Several of us would be in a tier like ccc, someone would start the discussion thread after they played their rounds and would label it for whatever tier they were in. In a way it was good so we could keep track of who was who and when someone posted a score we knew what tier they were in and who the competition was.
Merging into two threads CCP and CCAM isn't really a bad idea though, would cut down some of the clutter in the forum, though when scores are posted and we may want to go check the leader board we may not know who is who. In the masters qualifying thread I posted my disaster and started it with CCB...just so people would know where to look on the leader board to compare with where they sat.

That’s how it used to be, and I’m not sure why it changed. I think someone just started six different chats, people started using them, and then a moderator pinned them. If you guys want to change it and have CC-Pro and CC-Am chats, after the Masters Qualifier ends, I can un-pin those and pin up new threads. Did you want to go back to individual tourney threads, or just have one big ol' flight chat that stays open across multiple events?

There isn't enough discussion week in and week out to make separate threads for each event. If the page count on the threads starts to get high we could just refresh with a new one after a few months or so.

When 3 tours are playing the same course they can all pitch into the same discussion about which holes are tricky, or tough pin positions, maybe good holes to take a risk, etc. There are only a handful of people in CC that actually post, which usually boils down to 5 or less players per thread actually posting regularly. With combined discussion we can chat with ALL the other guys playing the same course that week and share scores and stories.

Yeah I have mod powers as well so I can pin/unpin weekly if we want to do it like that

Alright, here’s my idea.
This weekend, April begins. We can do monthly threads between the two subdivisions of CC called “CC-Pro April Chat,” “CC-Am May Chat,” etc.
CC players feel free to veto me on this, but that’s kind of my idea to create more conversations without the threads getting too large.
Thoughts?
