Do our courses need a backstory to explain the name or should the player understand once their round is complete?

Looking to make a start with Breakneck Dunes. Does anybody know if Breakneck is a real place? I suspect not, but just want to double check.

Thanks for the response.

Have fun sculpting all of that sand! lol it's actually not that bad, kind of fun in a weird way once you figure out your chosen method. Just make sure to save your plant meter, sculpted sand dunes looks like sh%$ when they are left plain, the lighting basically completely washes out the color - but once you plant, it'll be a really unique look. Good luck!

Good luck! I'm thinking more of a Bandon Dunes look, where if I look at pictures at least grass/scrub obscures almost all the sand. That may not be a true dunes representation but that is my current vision.

Massive sand areas take ALOT of time trust me I’ve been there!!

Yip, I'm in for a world of pain. Good thing it's a 9 hole course! Now that I think of it, with only 9 holes to plant, it might be possible....will still take 100% of your plant meter, but that meter should be enough for the massive amount of planting needed since it isn't a full 18. Just speaking from experience planting Albany, the plant meter was done on like day 2 from just the base grass. I had to spend weeks going through and selectively deleting areas further away from direct play, then using that space on the meter to plant at least a few different grasses/brush in spots to give color. But with 9 holes only, I think it's entirely possible. Look forward to seeing the end result!
