I was talking to some other guys and it would be nearly impossible to know if somebody is going to just keep working on a WIP to enter into this contest, or to stop them from beginning a course as soon as they register for this event, even if it's not May 1st yet. So I eliminated that "rule."
However, there is a definite publishing window, so any course in this contest can not be published prior to the window. I don't care if people do a WIP thread, that's really up to them, since they'd have to judge for themselves how much of their course they want to reveal publicly before the contest judging.

Just a suggestion Eric, trying to do the teams balanced, I mean one rookie (might be great to have as many first time designers as teams) a novice, a veteran and an elite designer per team
I'm throwing randomly names categories, but you get the idea

pablo The teams will be balanced, that part has been worked out, but not released yet. :-) joegolferg I'm not releasing that part of the rules yet, you'll have to trust me (or maybe you shouldn't). Hehe

I'm like Joe, in that I have too many questions at this point. Don't like signing up for something when I don't know what it is, as exciting as the drama of the reveal may be. I'll keep an eye on the thread and if more info comes out before the end of sign up and there's still room, I may jump in. Sounds like it could be very cool.

As a contestant, you have one job: to make a great golf course. That would be the same no matter what the details of the rules are as they get revealed. Do not fear... if you make a great course, you have a great shot at winning (it's not "exactly" like the TV show, my goal in this is definitely not to screw anybody). |

I will break ground on a project for this soon but I'm taking a vow of silence for this one. I already have some cool ideas. From the sounds of it the only people who might get information about it would be my teammates. For everyone else you will know nothing... I think... all depends on Eric's evil plan that he is cruelly keeping from us. Who knows what this could turn into... This shouldn't delay my plans for getting Cardinal Bluffs out in May. It's nice being able to register this early and start plugging away. |

Do you have a limited number of spots? Nope, I will take registrations all the way until the deadline, but then it will have to lock at that time because of what I'll need to do to organize the teams. |

Well with some of you guys starting already, I’ll be behind yet again... lol. I’ve got 2 contests to finish before this one. I always do this to myself haha, but the contests are just so fun
