Something folks in this thread might be interested in: www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,65640.0.html Check out the Tom Doak questions a few replies down. Also, who is this person? Who is Peter Flory? I need to play the final Lido, as well as the fictional course he posted shots of with the Biarritz green. Community, please find this man and his courses!

Is it possible it is TaS on the HB forums (not sure if he posts here or not)? I was fairly sure those non-Lido screenshots on GCA were from Sleeping Bear Par 3, and I searched posts from TaS on the HB forum and sure enough I found them there. www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=22569.msg280995#msg280995In one of his other posts he has a picture of the Lido hotel, expressing an interest in building it. www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=22691.msg281513#msg281513I think he is also involved in an ongoing project to re-create the famous and mysterious Mill Road Farm, a long-lost William Flynn design in the Chicago suburbs, so a Lido project seems in character!

That's kind of what I thought. The first screenshot looked like Sleeping Bear to me, but I don't recall the green in the second shot at all, so I doubted myself.
Maybe someday the Register button there will work, and things will all become a lot easier, lol.
Edit: Nevermind. Just looked at the thread on HB and those are clearly WIP pics for the back 9. Mystery solved, and very quickly. Well done!

Dammit you guys lol... I’m hooked
I’ve listened to it once in a while in the past but I’ve been binge-listening lately, and for some reason, I want to go back to college to become a course architect lol. I won’t actually do it, but these episodes have really inspired me. Especially Ep. 5 of Yolk w/ Doak about the restoration of Bel-Air.

It was fascinating to hear that conversation as I finish my interpretation of La Cumbre. Also, I have been dreaming of a re-printing of Thomas's Golf Architecture in America! I'm a total architecture/golf history junkie, but I'm not quite willing to drop hundreds of dollars on a golf book!

How fitting that Lido, this mythical beast of a golf course, is being made (with superb quality it seems) without any trace in the forums or in the community.... Also I wonder how many truely hidden gems (like that fictional course) are out there in the black depths of the course database.
