This appeared on their Twitter about 4 hours ago. If this is applied dynamically like the wind, it could be awesome

I hope this is the case. Be interesting to see if it makes the golf harder to hit sweet shots (smaller cone) and also maybe ball stop faster on green and roll slower (i.e maybe knocks the firmness and green speed attributes down to a lower level)

This would be most welcome, maybe soften up the concrete greens on some courses. Also the sky looks better without the terrible Cooton wool clouds currently in the game. Great to see the Devs bringing more features to the game.

Would be great. On the other hand: The thought of playing a tour round on a rainy and windy day while others play in the sun with no wind is not a very likeable thought.

It would be tougher conditions for sure, but players have to deal with it all the time in real golf. Sometimes multiple weather conditions in the same round. Can't wait to see this. Hopefully its more of a guess as to how much the ground is saturated to eliminate some of the math in the game. I can easily say that, as a pro, I have never moved the ball in my stance so much to try and hit a club 60% of max (the decision is usually a hard 8-iron for example or a soft 7-iron when between yardages). Hopefully weather fixes this even a small amount. Love this game and this tour so far.

I always used to prefer playing in the rain IRL. Made it easier to hit fairways and greens, and took some of the break out while putting as well. What I didn't like was when it was windy AND raining. This looks like another great addition to this game.
