This is an update to my previously released Boulder Pointe Final Edition (which turned out to be horribly misnamed). This isn't a complete overhaul, but it's not a touch up, either. I would put it somewhere in between. I decided to leave it in Alpine theme, because we don't see many these days. So shout out to the old Alpine theme! As I have come to terms with the realization that no course can resist getting -12 to -15 scores posted on them eventually, I have given up trying to make my courses overly hard. While this course certainly isn't easy, the objective of the course was to provide fun, challenging shots on each hole. Some greens are mild and some have big slopes, but many slopes feed the ball towards the hole as long as you are in the right region of the green. Firmness is medium, greens are med-fast. Lots of flickering was happening, and at a certain point my guy started appearing to be hitting a giant golf ball. And then right before I published I changed the lighting too. Played this course this morning and it is wonderful. Very well done and a good challenge. It kicked my butt, but I am a below average player. Everyone needs to give this a try. The vast majority will love it and play it multiple times. Favored and thank you for another great course for us to enjoy.

I was a huge fan of the original Boulder Pointe (final edition) and this one keeps all the charm while adding details all over the place. Really enjoyed it Craig. Still managed to eagle the 1st hole too!

this one is unplayable for me...please kkep in mind if choosen for major The more I have thought about this today, the more it has bothered me. I'm really going to need some clarification here. First, I believe the majors are pretty much accounted for based on what I know, so you will not need to worry about it being chosen. Second, if the issue is that parts of the course are unfair, I'd really like to know about it. I looked into the scores this morning, and on PC the course record is already -12, and there are only 2 rounds over par. One is mine, because I can't hit 100% on PC, and one is Canuck's, which is understandable because he was filming a review. I also checked PS4 and my course record of -9 has already been bested by a -11. If the course was unfair, I would have to believe I would have heard about it and the scores would be much higher. If it's an issue with the course not performing on your machine, I'd also like to hear about it. I was well under the halfway mark of the planting limit, and have only one building on the course, so this would come as a surprise to me. I watched Canuck's review and only saw a few minor slowdowns here or there, but nothing major. Again, if either of these 2 things is an issue, I would prefer to hear about it and try to make it better. The unlikeliness of it being one of those two things, however, makes me think that it is just personal preference, and that you don't like the course. I know that I like to make my courses on the harder side, and I like to challenge the player to think before each shot, rather than just blowing through the course. I try to make it accessible for everyone, and I've been working since Copper Creek to try and make courses more enjoyable for each skill level. I also know that everyone isn't going to like my courses, too, so I'm not expecting everyone to. But what makes me upset is that if it is personal preference and you just don't like the course, please do not lobby to keep my courses off of the Tour. Not every PGA player likes every course in real life, and not every TGC player likes every course. But I think it's bush league to campaign against a course being on the Tour. If you don't like it, play a crossover or take the week off. I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, though, so please let me know what is unplayable about the course for you, and perhaps I can fix it. Thanks! |

hey CLV I will try and play again. I have tried to play this several times, the last time I sent a 2 foot put off the green, because the club on the screen is not representing actual swing strength
Ill get back to you, I only said it so that there would not be a back lash if this was choosen for a major as PS4 and low end PC would be at a disadvantage
will post back here with replay
OK here is my break down #1 hole playes choppy and green is very choppy(fps 22) hard to read break and speed... putter jumps around
#2 fairway is fine, green very choppy (FPS 20)
#3 20 fps through out the hole
#4 same as hole 3
#5 plays fine
#6 fairway is fine green (20FPS)
# 7 plays fine
#8 plays fine
#9 plays fine
10 all of hole (25FPS) little choppy
#11 all of hole (25FPS) little choppy
#12 all of hole (25FPS) little choppy
#13 all of hole very choppy worst so far (18 FPS)

It stinks that you are having that problem, but it makes me feel better that that was the problem, as opposed to you just not liking the course.
I'm not sure what I can do about this, though. Could it be where grass is multi-planted? That is the only thing I can think of. But some smooth holes, like 18, definitely have multi behind the green, so I really have no idea.

What FPS do you normally get? I find it is on par with courses in the Countryside theme - do you have FPS issues there too? What's your rig? |

Played this on PS4. No problems except me missing putts. Ok this statement here nullifies everything, usually If I have trouble ps4 players have trouble, I would not have said anything if it was just me having trouble
