You know when you should have gone to bed instead of deciding to play the last two rounds. Well guess what I did? My third round I played awful, but managed to eek out a decent round with some excellent two putting from distance and smart up and downs when I needed too, just a silly bogie on 16 spoiled the round. The last round I played much better, but the old putting woes returned. I shot about the worse score I probably could have considering my approach play, the putter just went stone cold on me. It started with a missed easy uphill 8 footer on 1 and didn't really get much better. I think this course (the pin a version) is fantastic, it really tests your game. You have to absolutely find the right spots to leave your ball, otherwise it is so difficult to make par if you get out of position. I seemed to find those positions regularly. Three times I had to play a flop shot on the green as there was no way of getting it anywhere near if I putted. Although the wind wasn't too strong 4-10 mph, it always seemed in an unfriendly direction. I hope we get to play more difficult courses like this in the future, not overly tricked up unfair ones, just tough. I enjoy the challenge far more when you don't feel like you have to shoot 59 every round to keep up with the leaders. Heres what I faced on the 3rd green in both my 3rd and 4th rounds Ended up about 20 feet away with the putts, made birdie in the 4th round. The front 9 killed me in the last 2 rounds, only got 3 or 4 birdies. Missed my spot by a yard or so with about 6 approach shots so was just off the green with a large slope to chip down. Annoyingly enough I went birdie, birdie, eagle (flopped in from 30 yards off the fringe) to take this picture from yesterday. Played the rest of the round and parred the rest of the front 9 ending up -11......where was that yesterday? I ended up over there twice. Once on that same line, but further away, that's when I flopped it. The third round I was over there but had a slightly better angle so didn't have too much of the red break to go through and managed to putt it to about 9 feet I think? I my practice round I hit an absolute beauty to about 6 feet with my 3 wood approach! I played the same high draw shot in my proper rounds but they just stayed too straight and wandered over to that nasty area.

Really enjoyed the challenge in the 3rd and 4th rounds here. I thought it was completely fair. Shot a poor 69 in round 3 as I kept finding the wrong parts of the green and had trouble 2 putting at times. Better go of it in round 4. Benefited from a couple long putts and a chip in eagle on 15. Shot 63 in that round. -32 for the event. Not great considering the ease of rounds 1 and 2, but at least I made the cut and cashed some money. Time to catch a ride back to Phoenix for the PGA Tour. Maybe someone can hook me up with Super Bowl tickets if I miss the cut there.

Wow, I really gotta play better on the weekends. After my two lowest rounds on tour in the first two at Powderfinger, I shot two of my worst rounds on tour in the final two rounds.
Granted my goal was to make cuts, and after this week 2 of 3. But I am afraid I am about to finish dead last among those who make the cut.... AGAIN!
My new goal is to actually move up, after making the cut.
Quick thoughts of TPC Scarpacci West. Not sure if it will be as low next week. I have seen some really good scores on the PS4 leaderboard, and there are some opportunities, but I would rank it as being a little tougher than Eagleton and Powderfinger, and a little easier than Jebel.
After a few practice rounds there, I don't have a bunch of confidence in making the cut next week.

Shot a nice 55 at Scarpacci, but to be honest it is not one of my favourite Courses, so i decided to catch a flight and tee off at the PGA Tour and try to collect some FedEx-Cup-Points instead playing Scarpacci next Week. Of course Scarpacci is easier than Jebel, and i would rank it a little bit tougher than Eagleton and Powderfinger, too. Let's see where the Cut-Line ends. I think between -10 / -14.

Mike, I saw that 55, Great shooting, hope that's not what we can expect there.. My rounds there have only averaged around 4 to 5 under in 5-10 mph winds. Thought about crossing over this week, but Coyote Canyon didn't suit me any better. Nothing against either course, I like them both, just haven't been able to score well.
