I have played one round with the new patch and I love what they did with the putting. It seems much smoother to me. Didn't 3 putt as many times but did send a couple sailing past the hole but that's just on me, Thanks to HB for the improved putting and all you guys for staying on their case to make it better.

I just played my first practice round with the new putting, and I didn't notice any change with the shorter putts, but on long putts I was coming up short way more than I used to. I always used a short stroke on short putts which is probably why it didn't bother me.

How did you find it when you first tried putting after the update? was it completely alien, or did you only have to make small changes to your normal stroke? Did you blast a few by the hole early on? I was one of the people that noticed no difference (even during the 1st patch which many had major issues with) which lead me to test out my theory that my weight must be pretty accurate without the aids on. When I tried putting without marker aid, I found that my weight was pretty close to dead on from all distances. I would set the marker 180 feet behind the hole and had no issues hitting 10, 25, 50 foot putts close to the hole. I concluded that was why I didn't notice a difference. The aid must have been pretty wide initially so that people got used to their weights even though some were most likely giving too little, or in your case, likely too much weight for each putt - the aid corrected it and, to you, it became your setting for that distance. Now that it's all been tweeked (shrunk) those on the extreme edges of the saftey net are now on the outside looking in and it's causing the putts that would normally be adjusted, to be either way short or rocketing past. Best way to recalibrate is to remove the marker from the equation (put it to 180 feet) and get your distance control down without the use of the aid (via a few practice rounds) so that once you reintroduce it, you know you where the sweet spot is.

Short and medium putts are improved IMO, but long putts are a lottery for me at the moment... Need to practice those as I'm leaving putts way way short, can't judge the distance at all

I must say I didn't even know there was a patch coming out, and now thats its out, not exactly sure what changes it made. Wouldn't it be better to post what changes a patch would be making before it comes out ? As far as putting goes I like the putting before the patch. Now after, I haven't really noticed that much of a change. I'm just hoping the patch addressed the crashing in the course designer. I'm sure its was posted in here and over at TGC forums, but I would say its best to get all the basics patched and fixed before adding anything else in. So this was one of those necessary patches. Cheers to HB for concentrating on the things we need the most !

Is the PS4 patch similar to the first one on the PC side that had a very narrow putting tolerance or the second version with the wider zone?

PS4 patch will be the same as the 2nd PC patch.

After a couple of days testing I have to say that putting seems to be more replicable (to me) than before!
