A complete re-do of my earlier released Royal Montreal course. The previous Royal Montreal received 39 PC plays, and a 7.4 rating and a 4.25 rating with TGC Tours. This version however has many many new and improved features and has been selected to host the pro tee Canadian Open. Played on a beautiful sunny day in July under bright blue skies, every pimple is revealed for you to critique and enjoy. As always, I do this for you as much as I do this for me, and thoroughly hope you enjoy.

Sorry I wanted to list the changes, play the released course etc, but I needed a nap.
The changes were vast, pulled out all the photo's, the maps, the comments, started on the 1rst tee and away I went. While I liked Royal, it was not as close as I thought. Designer, me limitations mostly, but the real Royal has 45 holes, I could of laid down 27 dummy holes, however what I did was put trees where holes are, and in doing so, I made some of the holes on Royal to tight and not to the real Royal. Also while Royal has small greens, many were not as small as I made them and quite a few fairways were tighter then the real Royal, and the greens are now sloped closer to the real Royal.
The ponds also had a face lift, with individual placed grass as edging and the grass started large and was gradually reduced and blended with different grasses , I refuse to use the multi-plant tool, so I had to lay about a mile of this grass, one plot at a time.
Countryside would been the better for the trees, but Royal has a lot of heavy rough, heavy rough looks nicer in Boreal, so I kept the theme.
This is far closer to the real then my original Royal, not as close to the depth of every bunker and the placement of every tree, but far closer then before.
I usually design in bright light, when I was done I started to dim the course, and went nope, every square inch of this place has been re-sculpted, smoothed, molded. fairways were re-done, rough re-laid, so I decided to leave the lighting bright. I love the blue sky and bright sunny day for this course. Its played at about 10 AM, so we all get a bit of a sleep in.
Thank you for the comments, I hope you enjoy and consider a membership.
Montreal welcomes everyone to their diverse multi-cultural beautiful city.
Also something to keep in mind, I have a great deal of national pride for my country. This course has played host to my national championship, I would be doing a disservice to my country if I made this course a walk in the park, so I did not. It's tough, but the conditions are not firm, they are dead medium, the greens are not fast either, but you will struggle to find a flat lie anywhere, Royal Montreal has no flat lies, hence you will struggle to play target practice with the pins.

Well I just shot 58, I made some big bombing putts to do so, so I guess it's not as tough as I hoped, but I doubt very much I could putt like that round after round.
So there's the course record for now, only fitting I should hold it and keep it. :-)
Jim, Scott's, Dogz, Taste, etc et al, I'm king of the mountain, give her a go, see if you knock me off my pedestal.

4.5/4.75 It chugs bad on 2/3 holes green 12 putter was really behind screen I wonder if the #12 experience is because beside it, I have 4 buildings over looking the river behind the trees. Those buildings are not needed anyway I will delete.
I really think this course would be easy to stop chugging, there are quite a few buildings hidden on a few holes and are not at all needed. It was an experiment for me to see if I could get the course to run smooth by making all the unused area water, but in doing so, I dropped a few to many buildings and objects over looking the water.
If you would not mind, I know you are on a lower end rig, but I just deleted all the buildings there were about 20, in addition there were about 20 boats etc all hidden and out of play, and I published again v2, could you give it another go and report.
I suspect this course will run really smooth now on all holes, I deleted a lot of stuff and dropped the object bar below half.
Also I may be close to a 5 badge here, a 5 badge would be really cool, if there was anything that you think that might push this closer to a 5.0 for you I would be indebted to you.
Anyone else can feel free to do the same, bottles are on me if I nail the Canadian masters and/or get the 5 star badge.
Thank you in advance for your help and assistance.

Edit...WOW! what a difference played absolutely smooth! Cool, great to hear, I forgot about all those buildings and boats. I'll release a Canadian open version later, kinda sounds mickey to have v2 at the end. Maybe someone else will give it a go and make any suggestions, it would be ideal to nail the Canadian open with my baby here.
Reviewers if you give this a go, play v2 please, I'll get staff to sort out the name etc later once it's done.
I owe you ranger, thank you and thank you for the fast response.

You can post here or in private, I'm not shy, as I said I plan on fixing this puppy till it's as perfect as I can get it. There's nothing to shabby about a 4.75 rating, my second 4.75.
I particularly like how smooth it runs now and the object bar is nearly 2/3 full, so I as suspected a while ago, it's only certain objects causing lag.
I need to find more Royal Montreal data, but I did remove the real tick and changed the name, I'm going with inspired by for now.

Very nice job! (sorry for hacking it up with a 97 though...lol) Were the winds at 100 or something. I followed your ghost around coyote yesterday, this course is maybe only a little more difficult. Did you do a vid and comments, I took all your previous suggestions and incorporated, I appreciate everyone's feedback a lot.
