anyone have a good read on how much distance is added/subtracted from a shot when hitting from a yellow or red downslope/upslope?
i am so bad at judging those distances, and i cant find a good way to practice those shots.

I don't use charts but imop it is inconsistent. Sometimes it has an affect the other times it doesn't.

I don't use charts but imop it is inconsistent. I'd say "inconsistent" is the wrong word. "Pure randomness" meets it better in my opinion. And it's driving me mad (like many other things in this game).  |

Yea that the wind and chipping can go into the randomness category.

Agreed I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve allowed for a head or tail wind and nothings happened then the next time I think don’t allow for it and I either come up way short or way long. Before anyone comments I’ve taken account of lie and slope. |

Yea that the wind and chipping can go into the randomness category. And flopping too. 35 yard flop shot in the rough uphill lie and it goes 37 yards on a fly one time, next time same lie it goes 30. P/P and full swing both times. Of course flopping in real life golf is a total crap shoot... still I much prefer flops to chips for anything 15yds to 35 yards or so. |

Probably not related to the Question, but Chipping off the green when you are in the rough/H.rough & the ball just stops dead, not like real golf where the ball would just roll on, another frustrating part of this game, I just feel like throwing my joypad across the room everytime this happens

Probably not related to the Question, but Chipping off the green when you are in the rough/H.rough & the ball just stops dead, not like real golf where the ball would just roll on, another frustrating part of this game, I just feel like throwing my joypad across the room everytime this happens 12 page thread on HB forums about the chipping issues. A lot of videos of the chips checking up out of the rough in that thread. HB has basically said they are looking into it but cannot not replicate it. So we are hopeful they will address it at some point. |

update - i went to the chipping practice area and dropped my ball out in the driving range near the lakes. found some red slopes and did some practicing.
