Decided to throw my hat in the ring to try some retaining wall and its looking pretty good. What is the secret to get the ground smooth and level with the top of the wall?
I cant wrap my OCD around tolerating that chunky look between the fake ground the wall comes with and the actual terrain. Greens at Resputin type smooth is what i would like see as an end result.

I’ve never been able to accomplish that, so I’d be interested too.

I had done a video on this some time ago, but not sure how deep the thread is buried. I'll do another video on it at some point if you still need it.

From what ive played with....3 deep walls and then there is a fine line of dropping the land water side all the way down to get rid of any show thoughs without washing out the land side using the circle or square flatten on last page.

Correct... You want to use the square in a smaller size...don't make it too big. You also want to place the square about 2 to 5 ft away from the wall, and then drop it in small increments. Don't try doing 30 ft or anything...do it several time at 6 to 10 ft til you get comfy.

I've also used 1 layer of wall with the wooden single step to cover the top and give it the look like it's thicker than the wall actually is. Definitely isn't as clean if you're doing a tight circle, but in a straight line it's a good substitute IMO and takes much less time.
