I started playing around with different techniques and came across a rather simple one. Try pulling back two or three times before you push forward on every shot. With forward motion, like what someone else has said, the flick forward after the 2nd or 3rd pull back, every shot in the cone and a perfect perfect in tempo. This is what I use now and am back to my near best. Thanks for the advice -- I'll give it a try. But is that 2 or 3 full backswings, or just short little pullbacks like you would for a chip?

I always try and remember to give one full backswing without follow through before my actual shot attempt. Seems to definitely help mitigate the tempo demons.

I’m only doing one now on driveing or long irons and none at all on my short game. It definitely helps with tempo and straightness.

Already I'm starting to be able to not look at the controller at all and just trust my muscle memory to work it all out, even with a v2 controller. (I bought one just to see if it would make things better or worse. Jury's still out.) SIDEBAR: A tennis coach once told me that "your body knows physics a lot better than your brain does". I think that somehow applies here.

scrambling is always the key 😆🙂👍 If we would talk about RL golf, I'd certainly agree. When talking about TGC2, I say "No". In case you miss the green and don't sink 80-90% of your chips constantly to birdie the hole, you're already screwed. Scrambling for Par is no option in most cases, especially on the top tours. When you say "Scrambling for Birdie", it would be another story though...

Trouble is it is not real golf or even a simulator to a point. When you have to get between 8 and 12 birdies each round just to stay competitive and stay in your tour.

Exactly! That's what I was referring to.
