Not sure if it's a thing on the other side of the pond, but if you're traveling from overseas to play golf, I'd highly recommend just using shipsticks instead of slogging around the airport with a giant bag and paying out the ass to check it.

Just had a look at prices as I thought it would be mental so I could scoff at the idea...... Shockingly I can get return from Dublin for €918 ... To be fair my golf bag would cost that for carriage and id need a grand to survive so looking at €3,500 all in ... Anyway great idea can't do it but if theres going to be an Irish or UK event keep me in the loop Edit: I didn't have to ask my wife as spending €3,5k on a golf trip while saving for a mortgage is an instant divorce

I can buy tickets from Dublin to Charlotte and back for 450 euro with KLM

Interesting. I can buy tickets from Dublin to Charlotte and back for 450 euro with KLM Think i was looking at North Carolina Fyavette or something If your looking at Fayetteville I would suggest having a look at Wilimington, NC (KILM). A little shorter distance and a fun course to play called Oyster Bay on the way in/out. Among a multitude of other courses. Not sure it will be cheaper than Fayetteville but worth a look as they both are served by American (mainly out of Charlotte but a few from LGA and PHL) and Delta (out of Atlanta). If your considering Charlotte even Charleston (KCHS) or Columbia (KCAE) might be an option as it is closer than Charlotte. Most of those destinations are probably served either out of Atlanta,Charlotte, or New York area (KEWR,KLGA). Probably not much more expensive as the last time a bunch of friends came in down there the got good deals out of BWI. In fact cheaper for them then for me to hop on the same CLT-MYR leg out of Charlotte.

Just got back from our annual trip to MYR the other day and played some really great courses in the 5 days we were there. Weather was great and for less than $600 for golfing and lodging, it was a great stay. Played 18,36,36,18,and 18 at Barefoot(Dye)course,TPC Myrtle Beach, Caledonia, The Legends(Heather),and Tidewater and replay was cheap.

Interesting. I have a sister who moved to Myrtle Beach a few years ago, I've yet to visit her or play there.
Due to some health issues at the moment (several protruding discs in my back/neck and a torn labrum in my shoulder), I'm not sure I'd be able to physically swing my cheap-ass clubs by then but it would be a blast to hang out with the guys although I don't play poker. Yes, the guy who lives in Nevada does not play poker.
Let's see... free place to stay and most likely unable to play real golf so no green fees needed. Just the cost of the flight for me.
On the fence pending upcoming possible surgeries.

It's definitely a go. Tim booked the condos and tee times already.
Should have the final itinerary later but the dates are the same.

Yes, the planner is sending us the final itinerary tomorrow and we will get it posted along with final pricing and registration page. We have the entire top floor of a club house booked (that means no noise ordinance).. :-)
We are have 20 spots available, but will can take up to 24 (we have 6 groups of tee times available), but to take the last 4, you will be on roll-away beds and/or couches. So we will see how fast we fill up!
Registration email with final details will be out this week!
Thanks! Tim
