I recently published a beta version of a course with 4 pin positions, and when I re-saved that published beta back into the designer (XB1) to fix a few slopes around the pins, I was horrified to find that only the flagsticks for pin set 1 show up on the green (and oddly, the flagstick on the 18th is missing but the cup is still there). However, if I move the cursor around the green I can "find" the other pin sets, but they aren't actually shown, which makes it a real PIA to fix the slopes.
Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Has this happened to you?

Yeah that happened to me...i don't remember how I got them to show again. I know I fought it with it for a while. Let me think about it and maybe It'll come to me.

Thanks Chad, if you can think of it I'll definitely be interested. Stuff like this defeats the purpose of doing a beta test. The whole reason I did a beta was to ranger my own course to make it legal before doing a "real" publish. But if I find things and want to fix them it's kinda pointless if I can't see where the pins are. LOL
**Although I will say, I rangered my pin sets about 50 times in the designer and they were all legal every time I played, but when I published the beta some of them had little touches of yellow around them. SO frustrating!

HB_Paul over on the other forum says that if I play a different course before going back into the designer, its possible the pins will show back up, because somehow they get stuck and don't load if you play that same course. I'll try this today by playing round 3 of my Euro event and then going back into the designer to edit beta 2. Hope that works, I'll let you know.

Okay, interesting development here. I turned on my XBox and played a totally different course, and then went back into the designer to open up my latest beta. Now it shows only pin set 4, and no other pins. What's weird about that is, the other course I just played I used pin set 4, so apparently it's only loading the last pins I played, no matter what course it was. I can still hover over the general area where the other cups are and the curser menu will find them, but the actual cup and pin aren't there.

UPDATE: I just loaded up one of my other unpublished works in progress, then exited that one, and loaded up my beta project and now all of the flagsticks are there. Phew!
As long as the game hasn't eliminated the hole locations I'll be okay, that was my immediate fear last night. It appears that I can go on editing now and the world is right again. ð

More nerve-wracking than a certain novel I've been reading about....

Yea, this happened to me, too, Eric. Glad you figured out the fix!
