Why is it all of a sudden clear strikes or double strike? What happened to single strike? its to get you in Z quicker.

Looks like I'll be clearing my strikes this week. I guess it's some consolation.

I was going to complain about CC-E having to play Magnolia and then I saw it was for the Master's qualifying. So I assume there are no strikes this week.
Regardless, having played this course so many times in TGC 1, I know it inside and out and am currently 2nd on the PC leaderboard after 2 rounds. I have no idea how long that's going to last (this course is still a b%&) but I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
I guess it still comes down to practice, which I don't do anymore. Had I practiced each course this season the way I used to in TGC 1, maybe I'd be doing better. But having lost interest in this game other than a lunch time diversion, I just can't put that kind of time into it anymore. My familiarity with Magnolia has been my only saving grace this week.
Will be very interesting to see where I finish and if I qualify for the Masters.

Also, as far as I am aware, it's business as usual this week.. strikes, promotions, etc are all the same.

Round 1: 71(-1)
I suspect that's gonna be as good as it gets this week.
Did well not to have any disasters, they're the holes that kill me, usually. Fingers crossed for safe passage in the rest off the rounds.

Well, looks like I was a bit presumptive in that last post.
Round 2: 69(-3)
One disaster - taking 3 shots to escape a green side bunker - was the only real downside, well apart from the three or four 6 foot putt misses that would have turned a decent round into a great one.
Hitting straight and consistently, cannot understate how much of a difference that makes.
Winds were low on Round 2, hoping for similar in Round 3.

Every time the course giveth, the next hole it tooketh away - double. I may cut my losses and not play the final three rounds - the outcome will be the same XX

I may cut my losses and not play the final three rounds - the outcome will be the same XXI think I'm neither lucky, nor particularly good. I'm in CC-E for a reason, not by accident! As time passes, I'm definitely getting better though, and it's mostly to do with the consistency of the swing (that's why I won't use Tour Clubs) and experience. Heck, I even lofted a few shots to hold the greens, successfully! You should finish your rounds if you've nothing to lose, you might surprise yourself. Take whatever positives you can from the experience, it all helps in the end.
