Just played two rounds both -6...
Ok course but anyone else annoyed with the tee shot on #3... you can't even make the fairway unless wind is at your back...

Unless im remembering the wrong hole there is also a fairway to the left/short. Want to say thats the safe teeshot but since i hit it too long and in the water on my first round that wasnt really true Anyways im pretty sure it´s reachable in pretty much any wind with tourclubs, with player you might need to lay up in the wrong winds(but there is a better chance bouncing up to the fairway than it looks). good design in my opinion even tho im back at player clubs again for the time being.

Started off round one 1st hole with a 6 foot obvious small right to left putt which was a no brainer - until the ball somehow went UP the slope in the opposite direction.
Then things went well and would have had a -8 . . . . except for the TEN (10) I had on #9. Tens tend to bring up your scores and make you sad.

FInished -7 this week, coulda done better. Had really tough greens overall but I think the pin placement was easier every round but the 1st round. Still had to get lucky a few times to salvage my score. I took a quintuple bogey on my second round. I'm up into "B" this week on exemption -- some of the guys down in "C" are complaining about being the ones spayed and neutered in the early going so far. I haven't even hit the practice ground for this one and I'm getting nervous after reading all this.

And I was still 15 feet from a birdie with Player clubs huh? Hit that side fairway and then it's just a 3W to the green. I thought it was an easy par 5 but it's a long par 4. I was going to just take the easy birdie until I realized it was a par 4. Thus - go for the green and hope you are not too far away. Hit the rough on the left side to slow the ball down and hope it bounces right. You just have to say par is great and move on. Not a hard course. I took a 10 on #9 because I was a fool and then I just could not hit straight for a hole.

Hole #9 is now officially my worst hole in TGC history. +10 TWICE. Seriously - I was conservative and went for the layup against a 13mph wind. SO SO close - then again moved to the right and yanked the 3W left to the side of the cliff for the FIFTH time in 2 rounds.
Two +10s will really hurt your scores Still -1 for the tournament. Trying to keep from a double strike now. My goal keeps getting lower LOL

The nightmare is over - I birdied #9 on my 3rd try instead of my usual 10 (TEN). Winds helped but I still had a boner as I watched my shot fly over the water and land safely. Most stressful hole I have ever played. Well done whoever designed it.
-1, E, -6 so far

Up here on a sponsors exemption this week and after shooting a respectable -7 for my first round I proceeded to then have the weirdest round of golf I think I may have ever had on this game.
My swing was all over the place and a lot of the time I have absolutely no idea where my ball would end up once I hit it making it really hard to plan approach shots. My putting really helped me out in the second round including my putt on the 4th hole.
After hitting an OK tee shot to take me to the left of the bunker in the landing area I then proceeded to slice the ever loving hell out of my approach shot winding up with me ending up 40ft right of the hole with a quite severe right to left break with a yellow graded slope to my right from where I was. Then this happened:
After that I was feeling like this could be a good round but as I said my swing was all over the place and I had to really use my putting to get me out of trouble. After all that I ended up at -7 which I feel was like a miracle.
All I know is if I keep swinging like that my luck will eventually run out and I will go backwards. Need to work on my swing before my next round.

Sweet putt - glad that hole was there - you were dead on. I would have gone under the hole on that shot as I thought you were way above it when it left the club.

Just call me Mr VF Downswing this tournament - had 7 in just the first round, and 2/3 more every other round. In the end, was just fighting to avoid a double strike, and finally strung together 9 decent holes to finish (6 under on that back nine in round 4) 73-73-68-64 (Total = -6) Horrific EDIT: grinder12000 - Rod - I call your 10 on the 9th - and raise you to an 11 - think it was 2 OB and 2 in the water
