Very small update:
Current Cut Line is still sitting @ -10, but it will only take one more player to push that off to -11, here is the situation:
5 way tie for 70th
guys who have posted 1 round, but not the 2nd yet:
Andrew Kulchar -9 (needs a -2 or better 2nd round) Kent Hansen -8 (needs a -3 or better 2nd round) John Kemmerzehl -7 (needs a -4 or better 2nd round) (this is thrangar, he will choke for sure) Chris Barson -6 (needs a -5 or better 2nd round)
Any one of the above can easily shoot a well enough 2nd round to bump the cut line to -11
Then we have 9 players left to post both of their rounds, not going to name them all off, but I know Charlie Mattax is more than capable of putting up a -11 or better for two rounds.
Cut falling to -12? its possible
of the 13 plays left to finish both rounds, it will take 7 of them to finish -12 or better to push the cut line to my original projected cut, its very possible, but not very likely. Let me explain:
of the 9 who have not posted any scores yet, I guess about half of them (yes 4 and a damn half) will not post any scorecards and will get a DQ, it could be more or less of course.
Also, The nerves they will have if they know all this info, will be great, it takes a little skill to post a -6 over in Hawaii, and a slight mistake or three can really cost you strokes here. so the remaining players will be under quite a bit of pressure to reach even the current cut line.

Great analysis, taste. My original projection of -10 being firmly in looks quite unlikely now. Winds have been pretty low the last two days, and I think that is contributing to the scores creeping a little lower. I'm sitting right at -11. I made the cut on the number last week in SA, looks like I could be sitting right on it again this week!

Just tried to play a practice round and the winds on tee #1 was 26mph. PLayed to hole 4 and saw peaks at 28 and low of 23. Decided to give up after i was +2.

Decided to give up after i was +2. if your sitting @ work reading this like i am, would you prefer to read the above and hope for late change in the day or would you rather it being calm with no wind with a risk of the blowing buster turning up for the afternoon? they sell more kites in pominville than anywhere in the world ive been told

-10 has been busted now. Good luck to those at -11! Plane is still 3 hours out from Hawaii. good stuff. update on cut line chances: Current Cut is -116 way tie for 65th (extends thru 70th place) @ -11 Three guys yet to submit their 2nd rounds:Andrew Kulchar -9 thru one round, should push that tie to 66th (extending thru 71st) Kent Hansen -8 thru one round, should push that tie again to 67th (extending thru 72nd) Chris Barson -6 thru one round, may push, not guaranteed, needs another -6 to push that tie down to 68th (extending thru 73rd) 9 players have yet to submit either round:Mike Vaughn Charlie Mattax Nate Myers Lee Church Chris Gollain Quin Erzinger (submitted his 2 rounds, @ -10, not making the cut) James Johnson Michael Turner Michael Franzen I will update their scores if they submit them in time. Breakdown thus far: If all three of the first list, (Kulch, Hansen and Barson) finish -12 or better for both rounds, only 3 of the remaining 9 players will be needed to push the cut line further to -12, this is now more likely than not if all 9 finish. But we expect about half of those remaining 9 not to post scores, whether it is 4 or 5 of them, leaving 4 or 5 of them left to post scores, 3 out of 4 or 5 are high odds, much better than 3 out of 9. So for now, all the -11 guys can breath easy, ......until further notice.
