Written words cannot express my complete appreciation for all the feedback I have received on this course, both good and bad.
I have to give a special shout out to jwfickett, his brutal honesty is most appreciated, hard to take, I admit, however I believe I know where its coming from. How else am I supposed to make changes if no one states what they should be. How else am I going to improve if I do not hear where improvement is needed. I believe he would appreciate such feedback, hence dishes it out same. Amazing just amazing and so very helpful. Thank you!!!!!!!
Spending hundreds of hours on a course and hearing nothing but crickets, sort-of makes one just want to give up.
I'm not sure we as a community want to see designers giving up, we get left with same-o same-o then. I know I do not want that, I like a good mix up of courses, but I also like that same mix to have some eye candy and present different challenges. I can tell you, designing is not at all easy and has a significant learning curve.
I have tried to play more new courses and leave feedback, I have to admit, that's really hard to do. So mostly I just remain silent after a round unless I liked it or something about it I liked. You may be the same as me who knows. But we should all be leaving feedback both good and bad IMHO. The bad does not always come across right, but suck it up princess, is all I can say.
So here we go, the tastegw contest states I cannot publish changes till judging is complete, we have a few weeks, so I want to make any changes and incorporate these into the final version.
Changes already in the works.
1. 3 has been re-done.
2. 4 days of pins
3. 18th green is being dug up and re-done.
4. Trees are being removed from the decoration on the 15th hole and being re-planted, sculpted and bushes and flowers are being added.
5. 15th green on the plateau is being re-sculpted to give a more gradual illusion of the steep incline, staying the same elevation though.
6. A few trees are being re-planted to provide a little more room for the allowance of the blue tees.
7. Steam Rollers are being called in to smooth the fairway undulations a little to allow for the longer approach shots.
8. The multi-planted hole will be replaced with single planted small bushes as an experiment for better framerates.
No additional objects are being added.
Just to show you I listen to all the feedback.
Here's hole 3 before
Here's hole 3 after.
So play the thing, leave the feedback, what's the worse case scenario here, I get to build a nice course, you get to play and enjoy a nice course and know you had a part in that.
Let's rock, shall we.
In addition I would be more than willing to provide you the same service either publically or privately. Maybe you are struggling designer, I was, I am, I cant take you to the top, but I can help you up the hill a little.
Thank you all in advance for any help and assistance you can provide both good and bad will be appreciated.
