No real surprises here. Congrats to Chad, Patrick, Ola and Andre. Four very worthy final four courses. Had three of the four pegged for the final four and Chad knocked off my other final four pick. Going to be a helluva battle to the finish.
Commiserations to Rhino, Kessler, Jives and Dawg on having their runs end. In general, I think this contest is the start of bigger things for this quartet of quarter finalists.

I figured I was lucky, and didn't expect to get past a "TBD" if I was to face one .... ROTFLMAO You had a very solid course, DDawg....it wasn't as straight forward as some may assume. You damn near skated into the final four on this one. I honestly believe that the moment you get out of your comfort zone and push yourself you're going to spoil somebody's bracket run. Just my opinion....as always, just a super solid tour worthy course. |

Tough call Burrowing Owl vs El Dorado Hills.....
Very easy to predict these two would meet in their bracket final & for the challenge predictor I went with El Dorado because it was more fun to play, varied & unlike Burrowing Owl wasn't all downhill off the tees (bar the last hole)... not read any judges comments picking up on that flaw btw, if it is a flaw?
Spot on with the other 3 semi finalists so happy with that.

That being said, your comment wasn't needed. The routing has been mentioned several times, and while it is an issue it doesn't trump other issues. |

Well deserved Chad, as the course was well done in all aspects and without question had all the attributes being sought for this event. Myself still being in this tourney was like over hearing you were getting fired...and just waiting for Friday and HR to come get you. Since there are no course versus course comments I will venture a guess the greens and a few minor things addressed either in the few judges comments or in the twitch critique are perhaps what made this an easier decision than what it could of been, which I can certainly understand. No butt-hurt here. I knew this was coming eventually.
I want to thank Griff, the judges, and all the competitors for the time taken to do this, as well the those who took the time to play the courses and use them in some events already. I think we put out 28 or so good courses to fill up some tour spots so mission accomplished.
I learned a lot again in this event, no question, and looking back now I feel some of these errors were such elementary, stupid oversights. I don't do well with these deadlines, obviously, which I part of the contest. Being that this has happened twice I don't know if I would do another until I get quicker in the designer, the turtle speed in TGC2 doesn't help. But if I do I hope ya'll keep upping your game, new designers and vets. I don't plan on putting out another contest course that makes elimination decision and easy one.
