**5/16/2019 Update**
Good afternoon!
I have just published Patience Hollow for play on TGC 2019. You can read below for a description and see the last post detailing updates. Please give it a play!
**End Update**
Good evening, ladies and gents!
Now open for play is Patience Hollow Golf Club (Tour). This is the cleaned up version of the course I originally submitted for the CC Summer Showdown.
Patience Hollow is an intimate rustic course, which is a throwback to a classic style of golf course that one would find created in the mid-20th century. The course features scenic tee shots framed by narrow tree openings. The effect is largely aesthetic, as ample landing areas adorn the tree-lined fairways. The relatively small plot of land used provides glimpses of the course throughout.
The greens are small and tricky, but can be scored upon. The main feature of the course is the creek that runs through the middle of the property. This creek comes into play on 8 of the holes.
The signature hole is #12, a par 5 which provides an array of approach options. Challenge the green in two over the water, lay up short of the trees left of the fairway for back pin locations, or layup beyond those trees for the front pin locations.
I hope you enjoy your round!

Enjoyed a round on your course. I did not play the tour edition as it was not posted for a tour I am on. I played the regular noticed on hole #18 about 280yds out left side of fairway there is a very small patch of rough just an fyi. The course had me thinking a bit with the driving very nice course.

It always amazes me how good people are at designing.
I look at those pics in the OP and think WOW. Awesome looking course. The attention to detail some people have is amazing.
Well done.

Great course . Played match play with no aids with a ghost and had a blast. I knew from the first hole it would be good course.

If I could design a course it would be like this. Shorter with a touch of claustrophobia. Feels like courses in my area where they have to pack them in to fit the plot. Really enjoyed my rounds.

Played the regular version last night. Love this course. 5/5. Felt like Harbortown with hills. I will say I do not care for trees in the line of play. I didn't hit a single one of them, but to me it just isn't something you'd see in real golf. Yes there are trees occasionally in fairways, but there is plenty of room on either side to not be blocked. There was one hole (I forget which one) that had a tree right in front of the teeboxes. Trust me, I like this course very much, especially the claustrophobic feel, but those random trees in the way is not something I love.
Great course.

I posted your course over at HB forums because I didn't see it in the completed course list. I don't usually do that but I think more people should know about your work. I could tell from the first hole I would like it. I think you did a great job with this course. Its sneaky hard and plays great with no aids. I have played 3 times I think and the best I have done E par.
Awesome job and thanks for making.

If you play the (tour) version, the tree I think you're talking about has been removed. I cleaned that up as well as a few other items that I missed on the first publish. Frustratingly, though, when I edited it and re-published, it made hole #5 a par 4 instead of a par 5, which was the original design. It's supposed to be a fairly easy par 5, but makes for a difficult (and very long) par 4. I don't mind long par 4s, but it doesn't fit the character of the course. Again, thanks for playing!

Patience Hollow has now been published in TGC 2019. This is the favorite of my courses. It is an intimate course that is very gettable when conditions are right, but can be tricky when the wind is up or firmness is cranked up. This course was started in TGC1 and finished in TGC2. It hosted The Blue Moon Championship on the CC-A tour in 2018. For the 2019 release, I erased and re-created every green, fairway and tee area. The bones of the course stayed intact, but I needed to redo the surfaces to get rid of scalloped edges and wonky splines left over from the TGC2 version. Along with that, I added a tee box to #2 which lengthened the hole (I actually took every one of my par threes down to the studs). I added a ew bunkers here and there and replaced just about every oither bunker on the property, as I feel my bunkering technique has improved drastically since I initially released this. I also added a couple of goats to make sure this one could be stamped with the DAM Seal of Approval. Please give this a play and give me some feedback. I hope you find this to your liking.
