Hi. I never really got into it but can someone explain me what the difference is between the different green firmnesses? How does a ball land differently on firm greens compared to for example medium firm greens? I feel like this is one of the few things left to further inprove my game.
Thanks in advance

Soft, Normal and Firm.
The ball will roll out harder and furthest on firm, not as far on Normal, and even less on Soft.
You need to allow for the roll out with your approach shot.
How much is up to you to work out, but its easily worked out if you mess around in the designer and keep replaying shots, i nor anyone will tell you exact roll outs per club on each firmness, as we have done our own research, but im sure you can figure out a way too.

Yep. That's totally up to me. I like to make my own calculations anyway. At the moment i use the same 'rollouts' for all courses and usually it goes very well in this game but on some courses i consistently hit it too short and i feel like that has to do with not paying attention to the firmness. Thanks for the help i will look into it

Thanks for the help i will look into it There are numerous factors going on to affect rollout. Green firmness, the loft of the club you are using, the lie of your ball, the lie of the green you land on, the firmness, the green speed, wind, etc. etc. Using the Driving Range (Practice) once you select a tournament is partially helpful as you can hit balls into a driving range with the fairway firmness used for that tournament. I suspect you can hit approach shots into the actual tournament settings with the approach Driving Range option as well... but those are likely not with full shots, but pitches, chips, flops, etc. Practice rounds are the best option, IMO. You can even practice how the green speeds will go under similar conditions in the Putting Range (or whatever its called) in the Practice options within a Tournament.

I feel like i got good control of all the aspects and the last thing to improve is this. Kind of forgot about ot or a bit of lazyness maybe...

I'd like to see less use of firmness on the tournaments but it makes sense to help keep it more competitive and the PGA greens are often fast. I should just spend more time reading them properly but my biggest mistake is always hitting my putts too hard.
