Wanted to congratulate Chad on the win but also congratulate Puft on his course. Surely a matchup that gave the judges fits. Both deserved the move on.

I feel like a theif. Matt had a beautiful course in which I'm studying cause I'm trying a links course myself. Honestly thought the giant was better. Sorry Matt you had a fantastic course.

So I had Sleeping Giant in the finals. It was a last minute change from having Katokosmos there.
Oops.
EDIT: the only other one I missed was having Patience Hollow over Erin Links just because I think Erin Links would get dinged more for the difficulty level.

I'd gladly trade you, Chad. I too had Matt just slightly ahead, but don't discount yourself. You put out a heck of a course and definitely earned the win. You've had the misfortune of going up against some heavyweights in these contests and finally knocked one off. Congrats and as a former group D brother in the Invicta, proud to see you made it through. Same goes to our other Group D brother from another mother, scampi00, who also had a 12-round title fight on his hands in the first round. I thought this bracket, along with the Tillinghast, had the best collection of courses from top to bottom, making it so hard to predict. This is going to make for some epic round of 16 matches in this bracket!!!

Congrats Scampii...and also Pablo for putting up great tracks. Either course would be a tough out next round.
Congrats to both Chad and Puft as well. Like both courses alot. Rooting for you Chad as we go forward.
Congrats to Joe for some great opposition. I thought you put up a very clean course.
Looks like im up against Yoda and i am fairly certain this is the end of the road for me

Looking at the positive side here...my prediction bracket is looking really good 😎 Big congrats to Chad, who obviously has improved a ton in a short period of time. If this isn't a coming out party, I don't know what is. Hoping you can ride the wave to the final, brother. Definitely no "sorry's" needed, these contests are what they are, and I'm glad we put forth a good matchup. I am hopeful that I can up my skillset like Chad has in the future so I can take the next step. I feel it's coming, but not quite there yet. In the end, I really like my course and am still very confident in it. Sure I'll add a few more bushes and a few buildings off to the side eventually, but I'm overjoyed with how it plays and how I've seen it being played. I hadn't really made an "easy" course before, so this was a great way to try new things. Hoping I might get my full judging notes at some point to help my improvement as well (I assume my loss involved more than a lack of frame-filling on a couple tee shots and the other small things mentioned). Thanks to Griff and all others involved for the chance to get motivated again. Good luck to everyone else the rest of the way!
