Just played the first round in the big one. Already pulled my scorecard through which is impressive! Just to say though my scorecard is correct but my longest drive, longest putt and hole out stats are definitely wrong. It doesn't really matter and everything else looks right, but just thought I'd say.

I just want to see my name tied with Sweeney and above Sloaner ffs. At least let me have my moment π

I know I should email commish this question but I am going to post it here before I do anything because I don't believe it will be an issue but in case the auto thing pulls the scores over I do not want to be accused of anything. I have played 3 rounds of the big exhibition on PC. Planning to play last round tonight on PC. Got my new PS4 PRO yesterday to replace my FUBAR PS4 original. Planning on playing the 4 rounds again on the PS4 after done with the PC. I registered for the event for PC so those round will stand. Just playing the rounds on PS4 to gauge where I am on each platform. Still have not committed to one or the other. They play very differently for me (Straighter, much more tempo issues on PC - more wild hooks/slices much fewer tempo issues on PS4). I do not think because my gamertag on each platform is the same that this will cause a problem. But this will be a test of that.
Anyway, looking at some of the scores on PC. Geez, nice shooting folks.

I think its ok before the real thing starts dont quote me on that though dont do it next week though do u have a bad rig as straighter much more tempo issues on pc and more hooks/slices fewer tempo issues on ps4 sounds a little off in my experience with the two

I found there was a lot of frame rate lag on PS4, it would be interesting to see if you find the same on PS4 compared to PC - I wondered if it was to do with the crowds that aren't there in 'practice' rounds

I believe this causes the downswing to register FAST a lot. I barely push the stick forward, I mean barely, and I get fast downswings at least 6 times a round. Same exact PS4 controller used on PS4. Must move the stick much faster so I do not register slow downswings and upswings. Easier on the tempo thing since you are just pulling ack and pushing forward quickly, but since you are not being as deliberate, the straightness of the motion suffers...

I skimmed through all of these posts and didn't see anything noted so I will ask here. As a WEB card holder I registered and played the special society event (all 4 rounds) thinking this was the only trial event being played. I now see that there is also a second event to be played in my own WEB society which is cool...more free swings. Anyway...will my scores be posted on the website from the special events society because the only people I can see there are PGA players and my scores have not been registered. I also played one round on Congressional and do not see my score listed on that leaderboard either. Just want o make sure I am not missing something.

If your game is still stuttering and you are getting inconsistent swings, make sure your GPU is up to date on drivers. If you have a G-sync monitor and GPU, go into the game an turn off V-sync (they can conflict, same with freesync). I would suggest using steam or some other on screen FPS display. When you have a swing check to see if the FPS jumped/dropped. Ideally you want to be as rock solid as you can be when it comes to monitor frequency and GPU FPS. If you can hold it rock solid, maybe your GPU isn't powerful enough and you gotta drop a few settings down. Once you get the monitor and GPU in sync and have it stay there, the stutters should minimize.

Once you get the monitor and GPU in sync and have it stay there, the stutters should minimize. Hi Ron. No the stuttering is NOT an issue. The game is playing rock solid. But the sensitivity seems to be such that it registers fast downswings when I am barely moving the stick forward. GPU is a GTX1070, CPU is i7 6700 so its not that. I will check again to make sure V-Sync and G-Sync are not both enabled. But the problem persists with both my G-Sync monitor and my non G-Sync 1080p TV. If there is some setting in Steam to turn down sensitivity or something, I am afraid to go near that...
On PC - swing technique = pull back swing reasonably slow but ensure straight. If not straight, let go start again. If straight, pause slightly (looking at controller can see club moving on screen in peripheral vision) until swing at or near top, then basically just barely start the stick moving forward and let go. Stock PS4 controller...no a 3rd party. No rubber bands etc...
On PS4 - swing technique = pull back stick fast, if not dead center back, let go, if so, immediately start the stick forward with a flicking motion. If I do not do these, I get registered slow back or downswing or both. Much easier to control this since it is a faster motion, so rare to see anything other than perfect downswings. Maybe one fast downswing per 18 holes. But since it is all one quick motion, the stick does not always get "flicked" forward straight, hence more out of cone shots. Maybe 5 per round, mostly on drives or bunker/rough shots. But less hits way left because of fast downswings.
Tradeoff. If it were not for the dizziness that comes with the frame rate being slow with PS4, I would say I definitely enjoy that experience more.

I find if i get a driver update on my GPU, I have to go into the Nvidia control panel settings and turn off V-sync there as well. I know my monitor is maxed out at 60 hz so when I see 100+ FPS I know the card and monitor is out of sync and I will get some crazy wild swings that make no sense. Since I play in windows mode I have to also set the G-sync to work in the windowed mode in the nvidia control panel as well, with vsync off in the control panel and in TGC 2. Good luck bud.
