Thanks to our friends here at TGCT, they have kindly permitted me to post about LGGT's 2nd Season, beginning next Monday!
LGGT Season 2 will begin on Monday, January 12th! I will be acting as Commissioner, but expect to rely heavily on Tris10, who is acting in a supporting role that I am very grateful for.
Meanwhile, I want to make some announcements of what to expect.
- Console Merger: We are officially one LGGT league now, with both XB1 and PS4 players playing against each other (Apologies to PC users, we are not currently positioned or equipped for you right now). Our goal is to have larger numbers so that we can then consider a two-tier league. We do not want anyone to be discouraged, and understand people are at different skill levels. For now, we're one group, but understand our goal is to have Season 3 have multiple tours for different skill levels!
- The Season will expand from 12 Weeks to 16 Weeks, meaning a Major once every 4th Week. Our goal will be to find a Course that will have different pin placements/tee boxes for each round.
- There will be 1 Primary and 1 Secondary Course each week. 4 Rounds on the Primary, 2 Rounds on the Secondary. As per last year, points will be less on the Secondary.
- There will be no cuts. You will be able to play all rounds and earn Tour Points, regardless of performance.
- I am seeking people for a Policy/Fairness Committee and a Competition Committee. Policy/Fairness will help with monitoring of the league and ensure fairness. The Competition Committee will be involved in Course Selection and Review. If Tris is able, we are hoping to put a database together that permits us to identify what courses are able to be considered for Seasonal Play. We are hoping to avoid courses the Community finds unsatisfactory to play. All Committee members will be looked at for offering feedback on how to improve LGGT.
- We will NOT be utilizing the Handicap System in any manner. It is too arbitrary to police, and anyone can sandbag during non-LGGT rounds to alter their rating in an unfavorable manner. I'm not interested in adding a layer like this.
- We will NOT be utilizing the Stableford system, although we can consider this down the road.
- Considering adding things like Press Tents (A nice idea from our friends at TGC Tours), among other things.
What else do we offer?
- How about the awesome Leaguegaming mobile app, availale in your phone app store! Keep up to date on the Tour even when you're away from home!
- See Tour highlights through the LGTV Feature!

We're excited to get the Tour back out there! If you have any questions, let me know!
