I've had two albatrosses hit the pin and stay out so far. Last one was on the 18th hole after this beauty round. 4-under through 5, 3-over through 10, end up 3-under

Oh man, I wish one of those had fallen for you!
Dang, hole 8 stinks on TGC2. There are way too many good starts getting ruined at that hole. As the designer, I never wanted to see that. I've received excellent feedback on that hole due to all of the plays the course is getting and the helpful people on this forum providing constructive criticism. There are a few changes in the works for that hole which will return it to the fun risk/reward par 5 it was in TGC1. That hole was never meant to be a knife in the back to great players, like yourself, who are off to hot starts.
The design philosophy with the par 5 4th and 13th was to give players a hole where eagle is possible, birdie is likely, and par feels like losing a shot to the field. The par 5 8th and 18th were designed to be risk/reward holes where a player could make an eagle or a double bogey, but I'm seeing so many 8s, 9s, and 10s (from great players). That was never my intent, so it's a bummer.
I'm definitely listening to and learning from the feedback. These things will all be made right before I release the "Tour" version of this course.

Missed another in the 4th round by 10 inches...tracking right in the hole and ran out of steam. Such a tease! Ended up catching fire on the B9 in R4...par'd the 18th (oops) and still shot 27. Ended up with a 59 which is a far cry from my 71 in R1! 26-under for the tournament.

I finally got around to starting this. For wagtunes sake I hope other TGC courses translate over to TGC2, although I didn't find it as bad after one round as the horror stories were leading me to believe. Sure I spent more time in the sand than David Hasselhoff but outside of a double bogey, bogey, bogey stretch at 7, 8, 9 I played bogey free the rest of the way. An eagle on 18 was enough to flip me from +1 to -1 for the round. Not pretty but I'll take it.

I enjoyed r1 on this course a lot. Could definitely see where tee shots on certain holes set up for the different club distances, with a couple cool ones for tour clubs. Had a great back 9 to start off with my best tgc2 round so far, -10

It somehow had an ounce too much and caught the slope right behind it, not a good spot that one, and then went on to chip another 4 times before making the green and the ball stopping this time lol. Can't remember if I finished it or rage quit it. I liked it on tgc1, on 2 I find the course quite tight and if your not straight your In trouble and I'm not always straight lol and hit a fast downswing a lot. Still a good looking course.

I made a 10 on hole 8 in one round and an Eagle in another round.. I hit a great drive when I made the 10 but it barely wandered into the rough.. 3 OB's later I finally hit the fairway. Beautiful course and I loved playing it!

Too many 10a, that's for sure. Check out the Web first society event thread for pictures of recent changes to the course for final tour preparation. A flatter fairway on 8 and removal of OB will eliminate those 10s.

Agree with ray. Course is a lot of fun. What others do you have on tgc2 so far?

Agree with ray. Course is a lot of fun. What others do you have on tgc2 so far? I've been playing all of the TGC events in PGA, Euro and Web, and the ones put up in the 4 paid societies I'm in, which I found on here in the societies page. Haven't played too many not competition rounds.
