So after playing golf games all my life and always using the left stick I was very hesitant to switch, but after contionulsy hitting it left and missing a lot of fairways something had to change and my god; WHY DID I NEVER DO THIS BEFORE!!?! It's so much easier with the right stick, I'm straighter then a homophobic in a gay bar. I've upped my game from barely shooting under par to finishing 5 - 7 under. If some of you guys are stuggling to hit it straight with the left I highly suggest changing to the right anolge stick. Trust me.

Are you left handed normally? Why were you using the left stick?
I know I have been moving the controller around looking for the best combination. I do well 90% of the time and very very badly the other 10% LOL Only off the tee do I really get wanky.

I use the right stick, but ever since Tiger Woods (whatever the first one was) I always felt more comfortable holding the controller in my left hand and using my right thumb and index fingers, like you would on a chess piece. It was a curse in Tiger because I couldn't smash the power button (lol), but it was always straight. It's working well until about an hour ago when I developed a draw, but that's me - not the controller or the game.

I started playing tiger woods 04 and it had the left stick and I've just used it ever since lol tbh when I played Rory pga tour I though the right would work better I wish I had changed sooner

Maybe I should try this. I just went back to player and I could hit them straight. In my last tour club event in career mode, I came dead last. That's why I switched. I was telling the wife earlier that in the that I never even thought about throwing the controller through the TV screen, but this game, I have lost count.

I tired that actually didn't work for me, I have friends that use to put a straight line of tape under the stick and not even look at the tv when they swung, the good the timing down then just focused on hitting it straight lol

Good analogy "Holding like a chess piece" like I do. And JUST like you, I do great and then will go a few holes where things are off and I have to readjust (like real golf). It's like I'm always driving ON THE EDGE.
Last night I was on a VERY tough course struggling (official Handicap / tropical course - Amazingly beautiful) and I sucked for 5 holes and then got it back.
I started with LINKS - the original game where you could build great courses. Long before Tiger.

Hahahah get that feeling with a lot of sports games but I'm kinda of a perfectionist and hate not getting my own way, the first couple of days I was doing good with hitting it straight but my last society event I couldn't even hit 40% of fairways (it was a tough course with skinny landing zones and a lot of wind but still) so I thought I'd give the right stick a try and it works great, I think it's the Xbox controller to be honest. It feels werid and hard to get a perfect swing with the anolge stick higher up on the controller

I get what you mean by adjustments tho, I always hit it slightly left so I always aimed abit to the right to counter act it but now I just cant judge it anymore and sometimes it just slices and go hay wall.

Right - no outside help.
PGA486 - I forgot about that - I honestly remember golfing on a green screen on my Commodore 64, didn't last long - mostly putting but back then it was amazing LOL
And I'm always going slightly right . . .unless I over correct and YANK it left with gusto.
