Why why why can I not get a decent backswing ? Every single time i get slow or very slow, i am waiting for my golfer to reach the top of his swing then swinging forward and get perfect or fast every time for my downswing. Is it a PS4 lag problem ? As my golfer does seem to stutter in the backswing a little. Im using standard clubs at present because my wife didn't like the sort of language i was using with the Player clubs !!

Go to the range and try stuff you wouldnt normally do.

The way you swing the club on PS4 needs to change from TGC1. I used to pause on the backswing in the first game, then swing forward and it was fine. I had to do that to avoid the sub 100% shots.
All changed in this version though, so agree with the above. Go to the range and try anything and everything to get a new swing. I also use practice shots a lot on the course as my swing goes to 5hit halfway round the course sometimes.
Slowly getting there, but some of the early scores posted by others is scary to say the least!

There has, or still is some lag issues on the PS4. Many times during my round I've started the backswing and my club momentarily stays put. Then in a nano second goes from the address position to the top of the back swing. If you still follow through with your downswing you sometimes receive a poor shot. This has also happened to me during a putt, with disastrous results. What I do now before I take a shot is just simply move the club a little to check there's is no lag issues.

Just beginning to get the right tempo, i think i was trying to go too fast.
A slow and steady action seems to get the perfect swing, mind you I'm sticking with standard clubs for the moment.

I see that happening too occasionally.
If there's a good thing about it, then it's the fact that there's normally enough time (for me) to interrupt my swing before I go into my downswing when seeing that lag.

Yep! I've managed to stop myself a few times on a full swing, but the putting action is so quick, that you have to have pretty good reflects in order to stop in time, as a result my 2ft putt ended up off the green, sh#t.

If the game is going to require perfect timing on your transition from backswing to downswing, or on half-chip shots, it better get rid of the fukn lag issues that cause the whole timing effort to be ruined

Another thing you could try is turn off some graphical features such as FXAA (anti-aliasing), motion blur, and depth of field. On PS4 on TGC1 I also played with DOF off since the frame rate was horrible. On some courses with heavy shrubbery and water the frame rate could suffer on the consoles. If you notice poor frame rate maybe try turning off some of the graphic options.
