A discovery i made late last night - or I was just really partaking too much in something - what you think is the bottom (6 o'clock) of your analog stick really isn't. I'll leave it there for now. It isn't your push up that is causing this. I'll be experimenting more with this after work today. In game or in general? Just tested in joy.cpl and lined my joystick up in the middle as best I could and the X Rotation looks pretty centred to me (Y rotation full because stick is fully down). I know this because i've been practicing my swing out of the game just trying to keep the X rotation centered through my swing...

For the game, think TW diagonal swing but not so drastic.... it is very slight .... and it is only when pulling down on the stick (backswing - pull down a LITTLE left). Note I also use the left stick. Interested if others discover this as a thing or if it was just me partying a little too much lol.

Went from hitting maybe 10% of shots in the cone on tour swing to at least 80%. I play on xbox but I hooked up my controller to the PC and ran the joy.cpl - looked like the normal resting spot for my left stick wasn't center (just a bit off). So fired up the xbox and tried swinging with just a slight bit of pressure to the left, and then very slightly left on the backswing and was way more consistent. Maybe just a fluke, but I think you might be right.

I found that if I turn the controller about 15-20°, I got straight more often. Thus bottom is about 5 o'clock. PS4 controller.

Until tomorrow night when I load up the game and spray the ball all over the joint. But seriously, I did make a small adjustment and I am within the cone much more often in a small sample size. Here's to false hope!

I am way too afraid to try this whole calibrating thing as I think I would muck up what I already know by adjusting my analog ever so slightly?!? I have no clue, to be honest. lol

You COULD re-calibrate your controller.. but in my head it was fine for TGC1 so it can stay the same for 2... no reason why it wouldnt be calibrated correctly though

After playing some more last night, i think i am right about the slight off-centerness of this thing on tour clubs.

Kind of verified it a little more by going into the driving range, backing off the ball and just taking swings (no need to wait for the ball to come back)

I think you guys are on to something with the Tour Clubs. I also have noticed that a swing path more toward 6:30 - 1:30 produces straighter shots and less paths outside the red cone.
Also, I think there is an issue relate to the initiation of the swing. Sometimes it feels like the club lags behind on the initial "pull" and the club appears "stuck" at the beginning of the swing. When this happens, I tend to get swing paths way outside the cone area. To counter this, I started incorporated a Sergio "waggle" - taking the stick slightly back and releasing it 2-3 times prior to each swing (even with the putter). Seems to help. At least I feel like I'm swinging more consistently.

I had a lightbulb moment with this last night too, what I thought was six was in fact closer to 7pm and then returning it straight up caused a push. Alas, I'd look down and see I'd returned it dead straight and I'd think there was some kind of sorcery going on! Great advice from nevadaballin

With that said, i hated the diagonal swing from TW.... which means i'm not a fan of this one either... lol.
