No idea if a course can affect swing (like maybe so many assets on the screen my Xbox can't keep up), but I've never had issues with tempo like I had playing this. About every other swing was Slow/Fast - putting me in all kinds of trouble. Keeping it in the cone has always been what I needed to concentrate on. But these rounds I was sending the ball all over the place. I started taking practice swings. P/P....P/P...hit the real shot and get S/F. Even had 2 Very Fast downswings which I've never seen before. I was just playing another society event right before this one and had no issues. Anyways, tough course with some really nasty pin locations. I had that playing Magnolia on the PGA event this week. Tempos all over the place. Then switched over to this event and think only had one fast downswing the whole time.
So I don't think its the course... but still not convinced it doesn't have something to do with network speeds.

Something felt off, but maybe I just lost my swing as well. Doesn't seem like any evidence to support a specific course. I was having some internet issues yesterday as well - could have been related.

Well, I hate to be "that guy" but I'm gonna WD this event. I've had far too much frustration with these greens to have any fun. On one hole I hit a wedge to a foot from the pin, only to watch it come 46' away. Then on hole 2 in the second round I hit on the front of the green and the ball somehow rolled all the way up the hill, leaving me a 30' putt with 2' of downhill. I brought the reticle to within 5' of me and then tapped the ball, only to see it travel 66' and off the green. My chip went up and came back to me. Etc, etc.
I still say the course is beautiful, but a few adjustments to tweak firmness & speed would really help find the sweet spot. As for now, I'm not interested in getting slapped around.

Really cool, tough course. Doesnt really transfer to tgc2 all that well especially the greens. They are pretty small and the pins dont give you alot to work with on top that. I had roughly same situation Eric had...tapped a 6ft putt that ended up 80ft off the green. The pitch ups ended up rolling back to me. Certain situations just got silly on a few holes but i did like the layout and such...

I believe I ended up +10 for the tournament and I didn't think I played bad at all. It's a beautiful course for sure but I believe the greens are "tricked" up just a bit. I'm not trying to complain but at some point it just isn't fun when you're not getting at least a few looks for birdie and always struggling to make a par. I understand it was an open setup but I had similar situations to what VctryLnSprts was referring to. I kept telling myself I can get this back to even but it never matriculated... Anyways I did enjoy the challenge to a degree, just had to get my rant out... See ya all on the courses.... Peace out!!

There were a few very naughty pin positions on that one. I started with a double and then a triple in the first 5 holes and nearly chucked my clubs in the lake.

Got a HIO on this freaking course.
Wasn't enough to catch the leaders. Some tough long holes on this track.

Well, that was certainly an interesting round of golf. LOL! I've stepped up to the Tour clubs and I'm doing my best to hang around. Made some nice runs in there, but also made some costly mistakes. Very nice course! Less birdies overall in my second round but a lot more stable. Definitely my best event with Tour clubs so far.

I think a few people are getting a bit bored of Birkdale, thankfully I'm not one of them, I think it's a superb RCR. Just played round one in 16-20 winds, most of which seemed to be across or in my face, so quite pleased with a battling 69 in those conditions. Won't be scaring the big boys but I enjoyed it.

So I finished playing Birkfale event and before it went back to society screen it froze up and shutdown the game. I restart the game and now none of my coins are there and my list of society's is gone. WTF?

Guess I'll try later. This game is kind of a joke.

Yup, my bank and societies are gone. I'm guessing it's a server issue.

It's back now. I do believe it was a server issue. Have to replay round 4 though.
