Not meaning to restart the debate (honestly  ), but it would be interesting to see how it pans out on Web/CC
In my eyes it's totally course dependant.
This weeks Euro course was made for Tour clubs - wide open fairways, reachable Par 4's/5's. The extra distance was a massive advantage.
Last weeks, Pinehurst, was brutal if you missed the fairways. For your average Joe - Players Clubs = More Fairways = Less Bogies = Better Score |

I'll always take the distance especially if there are any eagle chances potentially there. I didn't do as good this week but usually I hit a 90%+ FIR - there were some funny holes where I remember hitting through trees/at bunkers on purpose because rolling off the green with a driver meant water haha. Sometimes I think I must be lucky that I don't have significant issues with the game, but mostly I think those who have that much of a problem are doing something weird  |

I agree it'll be course dependant - using Jacko's example of Pinehurst, Players club's will defo have an advantage "on average" over Tour clubs here. You should still expect a Tour clubs winner however - because a small percentage of those that use them, will have very good rounds and will have leveraged the advantage. But I'd expect Players clubs to dominate Top50 on a course like this.
I'd like to see an indicator on the scoreboards - much like you see which aids were enabled in racing sim scoreboards. Suspect it won't happen tho - because of the flaming it'll generate in the forums. We only have ourselves to blame for the reason we can't have nice things...
