Hello TGC2, Goodbye TGC1

Thanks for the Memories TGC1!
Just a reminder that TGC Tours will not be creating events in TGC1 (The Golf Club) beyond Week 37.  The only way to continue your TGC Tours career will be via TGC2 (The Golf Club 2) starting W42.  There is not enough manpower to run tours for both games.
 
That being said, I’m sure there will still be some members that will run Community Events in TGC1 - keep an eye on our forums for active events.


Downtime - No Events W38 through W41
TGC Tours will be taking a brief break to prep the site for TGC2.  It will take a few weeks to get the coding done and then a week or two more of testing with some exhibition events.  You can all use this time to get acquainted with TGC2 and be ready to go once we flip the switch back on.

NDA
HB Studios still has the NDA in effect for beta testers so we can’t go into details on how TGC Tours and TGC2 will work until it’s lifted.  Stay tuned.


Q-School/New Members
New members that don’t finish June Q-School will have to wait until we are back up and running in TGC2 before getting a tour card.


Odds & Ends
-  Exemptions will be turned off for W37 as they won’t be usable before they expire
-  CC winners will still be promoted up a level
-  Volunteers/staff - Keep an eye on forum PM’s as I’ll be sending out messages to see who’s still on board for TGC2 (sometime this week)

Thanks Doyley! You and your team of staff have been the ones that have kept this game running! I doubt we'd even be where we are right now if it weren't for TGCT... great work! Can't wait to see how it all happens with the new game!

Thanks for the update...looking forward to the new game and stuff. Hopefully some of these shortcomings with the new release and what can and cannot do get resolved during the intermission.

Amazon sent me an email saying I can expect my copy between July 6-12, what the hell? Regardless, thanks again for everything and I look forward to playing with you all again soon. My account here still says I am on the WEB tour so I'm not sure if that carries over. Haven't played for months.

The Podcast Crew had more than a few fun shows on there.

I have mixed feelings about the new game but in the final analysis, there are a few people here (Scott, Moe, Dax) who have been just wonderful to me and I can't imagine my life without them. So, somewhat reluctantly, I will be here for TGC 2 (hopefully no longer in the PGA) and with it will hope that the tour experience will be the same enjoyment level as it was for TGC 1, even if I did piss and moan a lot.

Moe, thanks for the shout out even if it was for mostly the wrong reasons. I still missed having you around.
