Hey all,
How did first round go? I had calm 3mph winds and shot -9 for the round. I played 2 practice rounds before starting the official round 1, which really helped me set-up my approach shots on a few greens. Good luck to all for the rest of the tournament.

Wow, what a roller coaster first round for me! After playing a couple holes to warm up, I couldn't wait to start - so I exited my round and went over to the tourney. First hole - bogey. Second hole - bogey! What a horrible start. Well, I battled, and thanks to two eagles on the day - the second coming on the 18th - I managed to finish at 5 under. Thank goodness. Whew, what a day.

Hey peeps! first 9 was abit nervy but played flawlessly on the back to birdie 8 straight. I practiced more than anyone on this course so i wouldve been disappointed with anything well under par and to finish -10 one shot off my personal record i couldnt be happier! good luck everyone!! well done trex shooting -9 with just 2 practice rounds!! wow!

Thanks. For me personally, if I think too much about my shot or spend too much time analyzing the specific course, I tend to overthink and mess up more than by going for "feel". I like to play a practice round or two, just to get a feel for the greens and tricky holes, but I mostly use my gut and feel as I play. However, sometimes this really bites me when I am "off". Nice job shooting -10. Really nice round! |
