Picked this up early this morning...and promptly got my money refunded. I'm not a huge sim racer guy, but found this to be overly arcade-ey and felt bland compared to Dirt Rally which I loved.

Plenty of my videos here TwitchYou will see how awful i am...but getting better i think. I am playing on easiest level and win most stages, however if i crank it up 1 level of AI difficulty i get hammered every time, so for now i will stay on easy til i complete game then restart on 1 level up i have 30+ hours played so far and i like it, i am by no means an aficionado on rally games so no idea how it compares to previous titles...it is a lot of fun though Quite easy to earn credits to improve team and buy more cars etc.... Frankly i am having a blast

I have played over 300 hours of DR and 38 hours of D4 in my opinion Dirt 4 is by far the better game
I play with a dualshock 4 simulation mode all asists off Manual sequantial gearing AI on tough difficulty (allthough I have unlocked the fearless preset)
the major improvement imo is that the cars no longer feel like hovercrafts

I have around 50 hours in this game. I haven't even scratched the surface.
They also have daily, weekly and monthly online events so you can increase your credits as levelling up and building your team is quite expensive.
Quite easily the best driving game i have ever played, and i've played most of them. I may have a look at Dirt rally as well.

I see this didn't get as good of reviews as Dirt Rally. I will probably wait to get it when the price drops.

I see this didn't get as good of reviews as Dirt Rally. I will probably wait to get it when the price drops. its because so called sim racers think that rally cars should behave as jetskis on ice lakes

This is by no means easy imo. If you go hell for leather you are gonna f up.
I didn't buy Dirt Rally but glad i bought this and from what i've seen and read its a far better game.
It is not perfect by any means. Some will love it as i do and i imagine those that take their racing games a little more seriously will have issues.
In terms of value for money, it seems as though there is a lot of content for your dollar.

For me the key to good driving/racing games is for them to be fun and for the AI to be intelligent and at the right level. Dirt Rally is a little hard for me. When it comes to simulation/arcade I am somewhere in between. I like the depth of simulation and the authenticity but I like it to be accessible and entertaining at the same time. I actually enjoyed GRID and am enjoying F1 2016 more than any other racing game of recent years.
