Hey guys,
most of you already know what the RRCC Tour is all about (click the link in case you don't), and I wanna quickly inform you about what's going to happen to this (season-long) Community event as soon as TGC2 has arrived, and how the last few weeks of this tour will proceed.
Before I go into detail I want to take the opportunity and thank you all for being part of it (no matter if you played every week or just every now and then) and for all the kind words about how you've enjoyed it... most of the time at least. You made this being most likely the biggest Community Event that TGCTours has seen so far (at least in the long term) with 70+ participants each and every week. That's something I'd have never expected when I started this, seriously!
My heartfelt thanks goes out to my "Scoring Team": Giraffe72, canthitstraight, jtcurrent & dh-nufc
Without them this tour would have never have grown the way it did because I simply couldn't bring up the time they invest to collect all the scores from 3 platforms and put them together into one, big leaderboard!
Q: So what will those last few weeks of the RRCC Tour - Season 3 look like, and what will change with TGC2?
A: Until W36 everything moves on they way it does right now, with a new event being published every Thursday morning (CET). W36 then will be the last official week of Season 3, where my humble self will chose his favorite 3 courses of TGC for a final showdown on the RRCC Tour. There's no way I could ever select a real Top3 as there are just too many outstanding courses, but I will try hard to selcect wisely.
For W37 we will then publish an unofficial "Farewell Week" for TGC with 4 (favorite) courses (instead of 3) being selected by the four guys from the scoring department. As mentioned before this week will not count towards the Final Leaderboard for Season 3, but we will still publish a leaderboard for that.
As soon as TGC2 is available (June 27th/June 30th), the RRCC Tour will make a pause until all the official tours on TGCTours start again. That's simply because I'd love to go synchronized with the official tour(s), just as we do now. So whenever the TGC2-Season will start on this site (I think there's still no certain date being announced yet; correct me please if I'm wrong and missed something), we do so as well with Week 01 here on the RRCC Tour.
Basically there will be no big changes to this tour with the new game coming out. Only difference to now will be that each player will have to register once (on the forum thread that I will create) to become a part of it. This will save the scoring team loads of time they now invest in gathering information of (new) players (like tours, country, etc.).
That's it basically. I hope I didn't forget anything important.
If you have any questions on that, please do not hesitate to throw them at me/us!
