Honestly, I don't think any golf game will ever touch TGC. But that's just my opinion of course.

Personally I believe it cannot live up to the hype. Plus it looks like crap to me.

Yea, if what they are putting out is what was in that video -- they have a LONG way to go before they sniff TGC.

The Golf Club is far from a perfect golf game, but it is good and fun to play. It gets a pass on things EA has been roasted for, mostly because the HBS guys are at least responsive and transparent for the most part.
Perfect Golf has a great pedigree of developers from the Links series and i am confident their final product will be a fantatic golf experience.
Of the "Big 3" each will have something unique to offer and most golf video game enthusiasts will cave to temptation and own each. (I also have the belief that EA will buy out one of the smaller studios).

Most likely I will buy all of the golf games that come out for the ps4 system.
Unlike other games, I play golf video games year round.
Even though I really enjoy the golf club game its far from perfect and if not for the tgc tours, there be nothing to do but try and shot course records, for me anyways.

Agreed dlw. In fact I had stopped playing TGC waiting for true multiplayer but it was this website that has made the game interesting enough to play again. This TGCT golf season rekindles and outdoes stuff my old TW buddies were doing years ago.
I don't doubt many who say they won't give EA another dime, but I've also heard that the past 10 years and most cave after realizing their desire to golf outweighs their disgust to give EA a few bucks. I have nothing against sticking to principles or making stands...but me personally I do such over things like racial equality, freedoms, feeding the poor, etc and not over what I consider trivial matters like a video game. No disrespect meant to those who do.

I will be taking my course design there most likely, much better texture options, though I still think tgc has better graphic with the more crisp look, they have just failed in texture options to really make it lifelike

The other big downside of this (at least as far as I can tell) is there's no console version.
Considering the breakdown of the player base here, that's a big consideration

I dislike the gameplay and click swing. Looks like it would be the greatest PC golf game in 1998 though..

I agree with most of what has been said above, What scares me is that some of you have stated here and in other forums that EA will buy out one or the other
If so hopefully its the other (as in theo ther game that I choose to play less )
I have been following PG since before TGC and for awhile I told myself they are in a position to eclipse TGC if they release with a complete game ie...proper OB , drops and a good multy lobby and GOOD optimization!
It looks like they are going to release early and to early IMHO to eclipse TGC
I also think their graphics look washed out, they say that's because of bad screen captures but, TGC looked better from screens than it does ingame so I am not believing the hype
I will buy PG to support all golf games outside of EA, I quit supporting EA back in 2002 because of how they treat players and employees and I think they literally ruined they way gameing could have grown and have become
