Not sure if two rifles are good for anything...probably just harvest one and repair the other. But in the hard setting it's tough to find one, so two in one game was cool.

Apparently new update coming out next week; new even larger region, new wildlife, and some new features!

Not sure if it is likely though...as there is winter in the game. But I can see elk or moose, maybe lynx. The new area sounds interesting. Going to be linked to Coastal Highway so I guess I will have to pack up all my stuff at Trappers and move closer to what will eventually be the middle of the world. =) |

Also another survivalist game I picked up when it went to early access on steam on Jan 23, is Stranded Deep. You start in a (what I think) a business jet enjoying your flight, then you get hit with a lot of turbulence and your plane crashes into the ocean. Pretty much like the long dark, except in a tropical/ocean setting. Sharks are wolves (although the AI could be a little better) and they even have humpback whales  I like it so far. |

You start in a (what I think) a business jet enjoying your flight, then you get hit with a lot of turbulence and your plane crashes into the ocean. Pretty much like the long dark, except in a tropical/ocean setting. Sharks are wolves (although the AI could be a little better) and they even have humpback whales I like it so far. Yeah, I checked out a couple of youtube clips of that game...looks cool! I think it's earlier in it's development than The Long Dark but saw some things I really liked, such as building huts and stuff. Might have to check it out! |

But still is fun to play. Been playing that instead of the Long Dark recently, but I think that will change once they put out the new update supposedly this week!  |

Ok made it to 100 days!
Then, since I'm going to restart anyway when the new update comes out, I did the hibernation thing to get the last two achievements.
Did 50 days of that, not killing anything but did not get either of Pacifist or Silent Hunter. Went to the forums and found out they can't be achieved in mid-game, only if they are done from day 1 to 25 and 50 respectively. Doh!
Started a new run to get those before the new update comes out, about 15 days in...
