Anyone else out here playing on metric for the distances? Im using one "click" per km/h side wind, half(ish) box for driver 12kmh crosswind, add 45% of wind for downwind shots, take off 85% of wind for upwind shots and im finding it fairly accurate but always looking to improve.. especially with irons as anywhere over 10kmh winds i need to add a couple more clicks but struggling to be accurate on aproaches.. driving is okay i can usually get around with 90% - 100% fairways hit but leaving myself long putts outside 100m into greens.. any tips from the metric guys?

Hey Bradley, I'm an Aussie but I've trained myself to use the imperial measurements for this game. Most of the tips, charts and videos that I used to learn how to play the game have been in imperial so I just decided to stick with that system. Hopefully some of the other guys for Oz can help you out.

Although I'm from Central Europe I'm not using the Metric system in this game.
I didn't touch that setting when I got the game, and now I'm just so used to it that I don't wanna change it anymore.

I would never go so low as to use retard units so I am your metric man! Unfortunately for you, my approach to this game is very un scientific. I go mostly by feel. Left / right in wind is 100% guess and I "calculate" head wind and elevation 1:1 and tailwind at 2/3. Any crosswind and it's just feel again.
Happy to see a civilised person though so I had to reply.

I honestly cant believe these uncivilized savages are using imperial units! Thanks for the input π

I don't understand why the US persists (along with Myanmar [Burma] and Liberia) in clinging to a system of measurement that makes very little sense.
Quick: How many yards in a mile? Unless you're a civil engineer with the Dept. of Highways, or a former WWII torpedo plotter, there's almost no chance you knew the answer prior to looking it up on Google...
Why not embrace a system where every unit is either a factor/multiple of 10?

I am actually a weird one, I use the hybrid setup. i.e. mph winds and in. and ft. on greens. Metre's off the tee and fairways.
