Welcome to the first edition of the Web.com 19th Hole! This is the official newsletter that will contain everything important happening on the premier feeder tour of TGC Tours. Join Web.com Tour Official Reporter Jake Marvin weekly for lots of information and stories related to the tour.
After the grueling journey that was Q-School, 204 Web.com Tour Cards were distributed. 151 of those have signed up to play in the upcoming Frank Underwood Peachtree Classic at Old Beaver Creek thus far. Above all else, there will be two cut-lines all players will be working towards this year. Most important is the line separating the top 75% from the bottom 25%. Those above the line will have the chance to gain a card from the higher tours in the Web.com Tour Finals, while those below will fight to keep their card against Champions Tour players in Q-School. Also, the best players will vie for top 10 on the money list, which guarantees a PGA or Euro Tour Card without having to participate in Tour Finals. It will certainly be interesting to see if anyone will gain Battlefield Promotion to a higher tour by accumulating three wins. This possibility seems unlikely considering the skill of so many competitors, but only time will tell.
After our stay in Georgia, the Tour will head north to New York for the Westchester Chamber of Commerce Open at The Oaks at Westchester. Next, Briar Hill CC will play host to the Tim Horton's Canada Challenge. Now, Tim Horton's is great, but I'm not sure about their decision to host their tournament in Canada in January. Another genius decided to host the Vancouver Classic to end our January schedule, and that tournament will be held at Shivering Pines. While these events have relatively low purses, they will reward those start the season hot with a nice head start on the money list.
For those of you wanting to put yourself out there and gain a little fame here among other golfers, be sure to post your thoughts on the Press Tent after all your tournament rounds. I will be looking for comments to use in these newsletters in the future, so anything interesting you have to say will be much appreciated. Additionally, any PS4 users should friend Obsoletenexus if you would like to be featured in a back-9 playthrough video during the 2nd or 4th round of a tournament at some point during the year.
It is sure to be an exciting year on the Web.com Tour. There are many outstanding players and it's impossible to say who will be on top in the end. I'm excited to get to know all of you and share your stories right here on the 19th Hole. Come back weekly for tournament recaps and possibly mid-tourney updates on cut days. Good luck to all at Old Beaver Creek and beyond!

A quick Saturday update from the 19th Hole, containing info on the cut and where the players currently stand. The cut came out between -10 and -9, accepting 76 players into the final two rounds. Many players who missed the cut showed great potential like Mark Fearon, Kai Frankewitsch, and Pat Brown, who shot 64s in the first round, as well as 8 65s and 11 66s by players who, unfortunately, will not see the weekend. Consistency seems to be the magic word for those on the bubble. If the players who shot -6 to -8 under in one of their rounds can improve their consistency, they could be golfers to watch out for in the near future.
Now, let's climb the leaderboard, and examine the current favorites. American Brian Lemons is currently -38 after his third round. He's gone wire-to-wire with at least a share of the lead thus far and looks to be the favorite, as he currently has a two stroke lead on the field. Daniel Coates looks to be a good spot though, sitting -25 through two rounds and can tie Lemons by matching his -13 third round. Rounding out the top 10: Euan Christie, 2 back, Braden McConkey, 4 back, Ben Sloan, David Nicol, CF Gibson, 7, 8, and 9 back respectively, Gary Hirst and Pavel Kunicky tied for seventh at -28, ten behind, and Jules Powell and Glen Henderson rounding out the top 10 at -27. The field is quite diverse, and five nations (US, Canada, Scotland, England, and the Czech Republic) are represented in the top ten. This should shape up for many national rivalries throughout the year. Much more on Monday, including final results and storylines. Thanks for visiting the Web.com 19th Hole.

Week One on the Web.com Tour has passed and the Frank Underwood Peachtree Classic was exciting, fun, and interesting start to the year. Top stories and the final thoughts on the first tournament as well as a preview to the weeks ahead are coming up, right here on the 19th Hole!
Brian Lemons of the US came out victorious in the inaugural event with a score of -47. Four solid, fairly consistent rounds led him to victory at Old Beaver Creek. Next, Braden McConkey's consistency really showed, as he shot three 61s and a 60 to finish two back. The top ten finished like this:
USA Brian Lemons -47 CAN Braden McConkey -45 USA Daniel Coates -44 USA Ben Sloan -42 USA CF Gibson -41 ENG Jules Powell -40 SCO Euan Christie -40 SCO David Nicol -39 ENG Gary Hirst -38 USA Bryan Turnbow -38
Lemons looks to be in the driver's seat for another win this week. He, and many others on that list, seem to be on the fast track for the higher tours. The most interesting tidbits from the past week include Jules Powell's flaming putter, which led him to eight straight birdies to end his first round, a passed-out drunk Roger Maltbie (who's been demoted to the Champions Tour in the wake of his actions), and a forty-man "made the cut" conga line led by Simon A. Morris. Despite the challenges dealt by the wind and the putter, the Web.com Tour has started off as well as we could ask for. After his big night bringing a Golden Globe, Mr. Frank Underwood would like to thank and congratulate all the competitors of the past week.
This week, the field moves up to Westchester for the Chamber of Commerce Open at The Oaks of Westchester, another Brian Jeffords design. The greens should open the course up to low scoring. Week 3 will see the first sponsor exemptions, opening the leaderboard to more players. Briar Hill CC, Shivering Pines, and Loch Lorne will host the next 3 events, before a one-week break. Thanks as always from the Web.com 19th Hole!

Welcome back to the Web.com 19th Hole! Play has ceased at Briar Hill and another week of stellar competition has been completed. Although top scores dropped slightly, there is a log-jam of talent of this tour and it seems likely that there will be intense competition in upcoming weeks. 10 strokes were the difference between T16 and T86, meaning many players could have made a lot of money on a few shots that unfortunately went bad. Stevan Bowles, coming from 106th on the money list, claimed his first win. Americans ruled at the Canada Classic, with 7 of the top 10 hailing from the states. Here is the top 10 from last week (money rank will be updated after the tournament is finalized):
1 Stevan Bowles -45 Money Rank 106 2 Charles Chapman -43 43 3 Mike Buchanan -41 41 4 Mike McNalley -39 49 4 Michael de Jonge -39 51 4 Andrew Elliott -39 16 4 Lyndon Mason -39 19 8 Keith Callahan -38 60 8 Kevin Jones -38 106 8 Nick Nedvesky -38 20
And here are top 10 on the money list, only including current cardholders (also to be updated):
1 Braden McConkey 60525 2 Kevin Chavis 49607 3 Dave Cours 27343 4 CF Gibson 19000 5 Euan Christie 17272 6 Andrew Elliott 15638 7 Pavel Kunicky 15340 8 Gary Stock 13918 9 Lyndon Mason 13168 10 Nick Nedvesky 13050
This week, the field heads to Shivering Pines for the Vancouver Classic. Next, Loch Lorne, Coyote Canyon, Liberty Sound, and Centennial Oaks are on the schedule. As more top dogs head to the big leagues, the field is more and more competitive. It will, as always, be interesting to see who comes on top next. Until then, this is Jake Marvin, live from the 19th Hole!

Give a guy a week off and look what he does....Jake Marvin the Web.com staff reporter got the week off this week as yours truly Ken Wenzel gets his first assignment covering the web tour. So what does Jake do? He promptly goes out and destroys the course over at Loch Lorne Golf Club in Perthshire, Scotland in the opening round of the Discover Oregon Open. With a little over 48 hours left till cut time Jake holds a comfortable 7 shot lead thanks to a mind blowing 52 in the opening round. Following that up with a second round 54 Jake retired to the clubhouse with the rest of the field saying...what the @%$&^*....Lee Edgson and Grant Figueras are in 7 shots back at -31 Other notables in the top ten Nathan Roy here on a sponsor exemption sits at -28 in 7th place. So with about 100 players left on the course the cut sits at -19. To this untrained eye if you're sitting -23 or so you might be watching on TV this weekend...So if you make the cut this Friday you better bring your A game to the weekend as Jake seems to own this place so far..

It's shaping up to be a similar finish at Coyote Canyon. We'll see how it ends right here on the Web.com 19th Hole.

Welcome to the 19th Hole, broadcasting live from the beaches at the Links of Liberty Sound! Successes, failures, and controversies have abounded recently on the Web.com Tour. First things first, let's take a look at the results of the Coyote Canyon Invitational. Stevan Bowles emerged with his second victory, carding an impressive -59. Alexander Salvator took second in his first TGC Tours event. Congratulations to all who placed well and those who earned exemptions this week! Here is the top 10:
Bowles -59 Salvator -57 O'Donnell -55 Scargill -55 Moore -54 Gill -53 Foley -52 Andrew -52 Monahan -51 Walsh -51 Graham -51
Here is the newest money list, adjusted to include only current tour members.
Bowles 219K Keppel 92K Anderson 86K Salvator 70K Edgson 56K
Now we turn ahead to the present and future. This week has been tough for most golfers as well as designer Jeff Reese. Despite the toughness (and apparent unfairness) of the links, many golfers have still managed to go low. -12 holds the lead right now, and this reporter would forecast a winner in the neighborhood of -42. With the incoming flights system nearing us, struggling golfers have a short wait until renewed competition will greatly enhance the experience, so please hang in there! We will see you next week, right here on the Web.com 19th Hole!
