Just published "Magnolia National (1st Ed.)". Pins are from 2017 Masters, and there are 3 tee options which are basically the tips, a slightly more reasonable middle set that shaves 250 yards or so off and makes the Player clubs more attainable, and then the Member tees. Had to do some work on the 7th and 15th greens to make the Friday pins playable. Overall both of those greens will need major tune-ups for the final edition. Overall, personally I like the way that it plays, and while I wish I didn't have to make it so cloudy to make the pine straw look better, I'm ok for now with the look of the course. I think the better players will maybe find the course somewhat easier due to softer greens. Other players might struggle, though, because you absolutely have to limit the number of downhill putts that you have. You really need to use some of the lines that the PGA players take, and when facing a downhill putt, take double to triple the amount off of the putt that you normally would. Lots of work to do on this course still, and hopefully I'll get to it before too long, but otherwise I think this course should do just fine for now. Thanks so much for all you do! I love this course! On TGC1, I had the 2nd best score on the (Xbox One system) Leaderboard at the time I last played... the last I looked (several months ago), I think it was a 58. I tried this 1st Edition on TGC2 last night with Tour Irons, and it was a complete disaster! LOL I just discovered TGC Tours website a couple days ago... I wish I would have known about the tours a year ago, would have been fun it looks like, on TGC1.

On a related note, do you have any idea what say, the top 5 scores are on the 2016 Magnolia National in TGC1? I wondered how my 58 ranked up.

Since it appears Royce is nearing completion of his version of Augusta, and I've shared all of the materials that I have with him, the prospect of releasing a final version of Magnolia appears to be slim. Therefore I figured I would post the rest of my Masters pics before I forget. I will likely post these in parts over the next few days. 4th Tee 4th Green from Left 5th Fairway leading up to the green 5th Green, with odd front pin placement for practice round 5th Green, back right portion 6th Tee 6th Green from back left

7th Green from left 7th Green behind 7th Green from right. This tiny little shelf is so small it's unbelievable. 8th Tee 8th Green from behind 9th Fairway slope and front of green 9th Green from right

This is all made up. ADX (HBS forums) has played Augusta and says emphatically that greens like this don't exist in real life.
Of course I jest (at his expense). Great pics, Craig. Thanks for sharing!

Those pics are just fantastic, I already see some changes I need to make to the back right plateau on 6 and the back right of 8. The angle of those pics from ground level really confirms some of the severity of slopes and makes me feel better about all the red!
Looking forward to any more you have.

These help so much, very useful seeing from ground level perspective. I like the 10th fw pics and view into 11th green, it's difficult to really know how the fronting mound interacts with the green and you have a pic that shows it well!

Almost forgot to finish this out. Here is 17 and 18. A couple 17th green shots from the right side and back. This is from back left, sorry I messed up the order. This is from the right side, looking at the back right of the green. A couple of the 18th tee and Hideki This didn't look as uphill to me as expected. Then again, 10 didn't look as downhill as expected, nor did anything really surprise. My friend, on his second trip to Augusta, was astonished that I thought it looked less hilly then expected, as opposed to most people who think it's more. I guess that's what happens when you spend 6 months working on a course. Bunkers There is very bumpy and interesting land just beyond the bunkers. A shame it is never in play. Two shots from the left of 18 green.

Well we've hit the Florida Swing, and I find myself looking at my pics from last year, drinking out of my souvenir Masters cups, and wondering when the 2019 ticket lottery opens.
I guess maybe it's time to dust this one off and see what can be done with it?
