I've got a mate who I convinced to buy TGC. He somehow never got into it.
I spoke to him the other day, I asked him what he was playing and he said he was addicted to Rory. I nearly punched him in the face ha ha. He's a real life golfer too so don't understand.
I was tempted to buy it when it was about £8 to see how bad it really is and to laugh in EA's face but I didnt want to give them an undeserved sale.

I did like some of tw games. I wish the 14 could be played on the xbox1 . I loved the Sim mode on that game. I also loved the live weather.
But yea Rory was real lacking in content and the online play was horrible. The only game worse was the first TW game to come out on the 360.

I was tempted once when it was $13ish on PSN as I was in the mood for a golf game to play. Then I remembered I had The Golf Club sitting on my hard drive that I'd purchased almost a year earlier, played for a month or two and had barely touched again since. Shortly thereafter I found this place and haven't been tempted by any subsequent sales on Mcilroy.

No interest whatsoever in Rory... will snap up TGC2 right away. Would love to see HBS bury EA for golf domination.

I got it for £15 on sale last year. Played it 2 or 3 times. It is not a good game.

i pre ordered it thinking it would be a step up on the TW series which i really enjoyed what a fecking expensive mistake that was never again

Okay so I finally went to the dark side and bought this when it went to £3 on PSN in the UK, mainly just to see how bad it was.
The verdict? It is very bad. Although I'm finding the swing challenging and that's the only thing keeping me going at all. I think £3 was about the right price for this title. I don't know how EA got so many things wrong, I really don't.

I paid £39.99 on release day and sold it within 48 hours, I see it every day on the PSN store for £3.49 and think to myself "surely it's worth that" but never pull the trigger. |

For the sake of a pint I thought it was worth a look, even just to laugh at how bad it is. If I'd paid £39.99 like @gfoss1896 did the first time I'd be very pissed off!
