Agreed. I'm also excited to be a part of an enthusiastic golf crazy community now. Definitely something to keep me busy during the coming Winter months and beyond!

Ok, well through three rounds now and it's been an interesting ride already. Round two at Whispering River I felt like I was starting to get my flow shooting a 75, a significant improvement over the previous round, but Copper Creek was a different story all together. Clearly a masochist designed this lovely, but viscous course. Hole 13 completely chewed me up and spit me out in the form of a snowman which was merely a nightcap to an otherwise rough showing. Can't wait to see what Son Gual has in store for me!

So far, my own personal favorite highlight / fail was on Round 1, and Hole 15(? It was Par 3-hole). Beautiful "U-turn" approach first uphill-green from right and then turning to left and rolling down stopping quite close to the hole; I unfortunately botched this "easy" Birdie though...

Well, just finished the tour, and all the scores have been recorded & sent. Reached almost +100-strokes over par. But regardless this tour was a great motivation to study up the game in general.
I'm still wondering why I hadn't studied the "Feet -> Yards -> Miles-per-hour"-conversion until during the last (6th) round; this "little"-math alone would had given much better results when calculating / estimating where the ball would be landing at. But then again, it's also something not many probably wouldn't be using in real-life golfing (especially to consider how everyone actually plays the golf itself differently; simulations for the most part are mainly in "controlled environments" after all).
Also due horrible non-pure-shots, I started a new habit to actually look at the controller-pad while making a stroke; the mouse-version is a bit more difficult to use due lack of / hidden real-time-hit-indicator which I got used to monitoring in "TWPGATOnline".
It was kind of nice (surprise-luck) to see the most rewarding result on the very last hole to get my first Eagle in this game, even if it was gotten on unofficial-course.
Here's to see how well I'll do on the "Champions Tour", since that supposedly will be the one I'll be placed.

This may be a dumb question but do i get an e-mail or something to say when i get my tour card?? We're putting it in shortly (email) but the people that finish up early (the ones we're trying to verify asap so that they can register before deadline tonight) will not get the email. You can check to see if you have your card by looking on the q-school leaderboard. Even though only 1 round shows (will be fixed later today), if you see Web.com or Champions beside your name you are in possession of your card and can go register anytime. We're (Tim and I) busy with real life but trying to get it all in before the days out.

Dave Johnson (me) 566th at present, but NONE next to TOUR. I'm hoping I can join champions very soon? Loving this game more than ANY Tiger Woods rubbish.

Hi guys, can we please get this thread back on track - it's for press tent quotes after Q-School Rounds.
We can keep the generic Q-School talk to the other threads. Thanks!

After a marathon of 6 rounds straight I am anxiously waiting my tour card for web.com tour. -8 total was a great result. Even par to kick start at mount yeti was a little lackluster in benign conditions but followed that up with 3 under par rounds -6 and whispering and two great rounds of -4 at Cooper creek which was the pick of my rounds with only one dropped shot from memory and a -3 at son gual had me at -13 thru 4 rounds. What transpired at kodiac was nothing short of a disaster with a +3 round after being -2 at one stage. Nerves kicked in as really wanted the 2 exemptions and I played nervy golf all thru the Crawford mines.... That course sure will find you out and was +2 for round until a hole out on the short par 4 15th nerang me back up to even par and -10 overall. Sloppy dropped shot on 17 and back to -9. Medium length par 5 to finish and a birdie needed. Hole loads up and wind to is hurting and off the left and I play a poorly executed shot and dump it in the lake..... Disaster. Got lucky with drop point and within range to reach green for 3 still all be it 250yds with a cross wind blowing towards lake. Smoked a 3 wood and barely missed pin and played for the hole out and barely missed the bird but ran on by some 10ft. Missed the par and another bogey for +8. Still a great result but what could have been. The pressure of the situation will only make me grow. Bring on the web.com and see you on the fairways...

Glad that I'm not that only one that felt some nerves during the last couple of qualifying rounds. I've felt less nerves playing in real golf tournaments before!

Ah, It felt like the first time I ever played the game, literally, I shot like the day I first stepped on the course....I imagine I set a course record with my 93, I looked like a solder trying to avoid enemy fire with my constant zig-zag around Mount Yeti. I haven't shot in the 90's since day 1 and I have no Idea what happened, it's all like a nightmare! Nothing to do but move on with the false conception that it can't get worse, But in my mind I realize that I still have to play on that Parking lot they call Son Gual Update at the 2/3 point. Mount Yeti was a Mole Hill compared to Whispering River and the 20+mph winds. But it wasn't the wind that killed me (Although it didn't help much) I totally lost my shot. I simply couldn't hit even the most basic T-Shot straight, My Confidence disintegrated and the end result was a 41 over Par,120.
Moving onto Copper Creek after a bucket of balls at the Driving Range, we got back under the Century mark with a 99, we started to get our stroke back on the back nine here and took a little confidence with us into the Clubhouse.
Heading to the Desert, probably the course we had the most trouble with in any Practice rounds before the new year, We held our own and hole-by-hole our confidence and swing came around. We felt so good after our +4 on the front 9 we didn't bother to take our regular break at the turn. Finishing with a 7 over 79. If not for one horrendous 4 putt we'd have been under par on the back 9.
Up Next Kodiak, We have very little experience with this course, so it should be interesting to see how it goes. Hopefully my swing doesn't abandon me again, that is a very frustrating feeling.
