It's never a good idea to have a practice green that outshines your course. It's also never a good idea to have a pond that is better than both the putting green and the course combined! Ha!

Once the novelty of having part of the course named after me wore off I realized it was attached to a course so I figured I'd better play it. Be honoured as I pretty much never play a course "just because". I was just playing for fun and not really to critique it that much, but I had fun so it accomplished that much. Two main problems I had in an effort to offer constructive criticism and the only two things that really jumped out at me: 1)The 9, 10, 11 stretch. Par 5, long par 4 with double digit wind coming back at me, par 5. In these conditions it felt like I was playing three par 5's in a row, which was a bit much for me. 2)It's never a good idea to have a practice green that outshines your course. Otherwise a solid course. Thanks Boffo for the kind words and I am honored you took the time to play just for fun. I appreciate the criticism as well. I had pondered over whether that stretch was too long and if wind would make it unfair. In the end I kind of said maybe that was like my "amen corner" in the hopes it may be kinda a maker or breaker of someone's round or maybe one day a tourney. I will make sure I pay more attention to that on future designs. I'm glad you were happy with the putting green. I spent a majority of my designing time on it! Lol. Again thanks. Dry much for taking time from your busy schedule to play. While I have you also thanks for all you do for the community. Cheers!
