Welcome to the land of the midnight sun! Located in Canada's high north, Midnight Sun Golf Club creates a unique experience for golfers. With it's high latitude, summers are short in the north, but summer days are never ending. A few days a year, the sun never goes down, which allows for some spectacular golf anytime of day (even in the middle of the night!). Midnight Sun Golf Club is a Par 72, 7150 yard layout that weaves through the hills of the Yellowknife region. Stay up late and book a tee time for a truly unique experience!      **As always, feedback is much appreciated. I know some of you will not be a big fan of the lighting. I'm taking a risk here, making it a bit on the darker side, but it was necessary to fit my vision of the course. If there is demand for it, I can also release a "High Noon Edition". Hope you enjoy! |

thank you, Job well done designing the course, definitely a favorite of mine. Scenery was outstanding!! Displays obvious time spent and great attention to details. Again I say Great Course.

Very well done course. Nice track, very playable, very pleasing to the eye. I like that fairway style, great bunker work and excellent lighting as well.
Cons. This list is short, for the first time ever I had to go into settings for the first 4 holes and crank down the display settings as it was chopping big time on me, it finally smoothed out. According to the forums and there is an investigation about what might be causing this, it might be those flying objects. However I have also been fiddling with my display drivers, so I will ignore this as a negative for now to see if there are further reports. Also I feel this issue should never be the fault of the designer, designers should never be limited it what they wish to place on their course IMHO.
I found 2 uneven blocks on 4 and 9. Sorry I hate that, just a peeve of mine as it effects play, but I'm not deducting anything.
I gave this a 10 in game and if I had any say, and I don't, it should get a 5 here.
I sincerely hope the choppy is completely on my end, because those flying objects cannot be deleted I understand.
I highly recommend giving this track a go, and placing it on tour if the frame rate issue is limited to me alone.

Edit: Well I see it was not just me from the main forums, I went and did a fresh install of my video drivers by using a video driver removal tool, and installed the latest fresh and it definitely helped me on my end as I was able to play your first hole again on high with no chop at all. This should give the folks experiencing chop on PC something to think about doing themselves.
I hope it shows up on the leaderboard, I had to open and close the game several times and now my continue button is showing a course I played yesterday, but I shot a 58 with 1 bogie.

what a course! i love it. not too easy or too hard and a real challenge. i managed to drive the green on one of the holes (cant remember number) but also had 2 bogeys resulting in a 66 (-6)
this should get a 5* rating for sure!

Midnight Sun is a real gem of track. Lot's of eye candy & majestic terrain sculpting making almost every hole "pop."
I love the majority of the fairways for their fantasy touches of thin landing zones & sand trap placings, but saying that the meticulous pristine width light rough ribbon exactly contouring the edges is something I personally am not keen on.
I know a few people have said they don't like the lighting, but for me you absolutely nailed it... spot on for us high end PC players.
There are one or two course management flaws; the 2nd shot on the opening par 5 for example where even a 3 wood will not carry the water hazard in head winds over 10 mph, which means you're forced to laying up with a super short iron before landing the green with a 3rd shot. But, on the whole most of the trail is very well designed.
Faved & rated 9 in game & in my humble opinion the current 4.5 rating here is a true reflection of CC's efforts.
