Sometimes i play, i can't hit straight at all. There's a huge deviation at every shot. Some other times the controller is responding correctly (if it's not perfect, it's my talent ;-)
Anyone any suggestions what could be wrong?
Thanks for helping!

Try holding your controller differently. Angle it and such. I have 2 swings that I go back and forth between. Main 1 is left thumb/left stick. I start hitting those bad and I switch to right thumb/left stick. When I start hitting shanks there, I go back to left/left. Just keep practicing.

I tried the thumb technique did not work for me. I play on the PS4 with a regular controller and I use my thumb and finger and just to mess you up I use my right hand and left stick lol. I also play left handed.

Don't watch the tv.
Watch the controller until you get a better feel for what is a straight stroke.

Over the last 8 or 9 months I've been having a major problem with my swing. I found I could be playing 24 holes without a problem, then all of a sudden I would either slice or hook every shot. It got so bad, I bought a new controller, but this made no differance.
I've been playing this game for well over two years now, and completed nearly 1500 rounds. In the early days I never had a problem with my swing, I never even thought about my swing when playing. But now it has really got into my head. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Whether the game has been tweaked at some point and the swing has become more sensitive, so it punishes you more for being slightly out, I don't know. All I know is, is that I'm not hitting as accurately as I was in the early days.
Every time I change the angle of the controller a certain way, it seems to work for a few holes, but then I start hitting all over the place again. I've come to the conclusion that it's a confidence thing. In any sport, if your confidence is high, you play well. If it's not, you get punished. I just need to get my confidence back, and stop thinking about my swing - just bloody hit it.

I'm a new convert from PC where I am a mouse user to PS4 (my PC is sub-par). I find that whenever I start hitting it bad, it's always been something that I'm doing wrong.
With the mouse, it was always that my follow through was too long. With the controller it's always that the plane of my swing doesn't match up with the controller's Y axis. I'm pretty good at flicking the controller stick in a straight line, but if that line isn't parallel to the controller's axis, I hook/slice EVERYTHING. Now, for every shot, I watch my controller as I draw the stick back to make sure I swing along the Y axis.

I go through this (as you can see from my rounds). It's like a slump. 6 great rounds and then I play for where every 3rd hole I shank, like my hands are no linger connected to my brain.
I find my posture is a problem, leaning over or whatever. I have my controller on a table for everything but putting but I find that the controller is to far away (like an inch) and so forth.

AND REMEMBER - make sure you have a Driver off the tee - I just played a round where SURPRISE - it was a 3 wood or 5 wood and not a Driver - cost me at least 4 strokes.

Well . . . . it certainly was on this course with a 4mph wind. No doubt! Driver should ALWAYS be the default off the tee on par 4.
Let the golfer decide if he needs to step down to a 3 wood if it is that obvious.
