I was looking for this course on our course list but couldn't find it. It's another nice course (IMO) that we could/should play.

It's too heavily planted chugs consoles and low gpu comps

That's too bad, it's nicer than some on the list.
No offence to the hard work put in on the other courses, I've tried to do the designer thing and it takes a lot of work to do a nice one. Maybe the designer of Hitchens can do a model that's easier on the consoles.

It's a good course for benchmarking and the one I used to test the Max display settings for the PC. The two trees on the distant hill on the first tee make for a good line of sight render distance radius test. If you can get these trees to render HQ and keep acceptable fps every other course should look great and play fine. Even if you can't pull that off it is still a good course to find your Max values to give you smooth game play on other courses.
