Congrats to aces, good luck in the quarters and fantastic course; only problem I had w/ judging is the third judge on my matchup saying that the green speeds were too slow; from designer's perspective that was to counteract firm greens, from realism perspective I was imagining that the greens on a course that far north would need to survive a brutal winter and would have slower speed because of it.
Then again, that's coming from a person who has gone as far north as Scottsdale for golf so I'm no expert either.

All pins at least 4 yards away from the edge of any part of the green and no yellow/red beads in the grid box that the pin sits in +1 grid box in any direction. you have nothing to hang your head about on this one, Jives...it was a fantastic course with VERY close judging. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do down the road, brother.

I was going to start with wow, but I've been beaten to it. To say I'm shocked would be an understatement, so surprised but more than happy to be progressing. I might end up having to multi-pin for the 1st time 😂 Edit; sorry forgot my manners with the shock result. Well played Patrick and commiserations, it sure seemed to be a very tight result and I'm looking forward to tackling Corran on tour sometime soon. Honestly I am very glad with the result. Not that I would not happily have taken a win had it happened, but in all honesty I felt you course was streets above mine. I'd say getting 75% of the result was about fair and shows the benefit of having 4 judges, as the odd one will prefer mine but all in all the majority should prefer yours IMO. So congratulations to yourself on an excellent course and deserved progression. Also congratulations to Griff and all the judges for a correct result. I cannot comment on all the matchups as unfortunately I've not found the time to play them all, but from my experiences everyone has done a grand job and I cannot argue with how this contest has been run in any way. Best of luck in the next round mate And congrats to all the winners

Nenestin Estates G.C. vs Threshold Lakes Golf Resort
Judge 1: Nenestin Estates vs. Threshold Lakes
First time i've played these two, so lets get started........
Nenestin Estates Pros. cart paths well done good sculpting of water banks/edging sand bunkers ..good Cons. greens...5, 11, 16 & 17 had little bits of the grid showing outside the actual green area..very distracting..too bad
Comments. Visually, this is an extremely well done course that plays well. Liked the bridges and fencing, planting in ravines. Rock work/ steps in front of clubhouse #9 green is a beautiful look..extremely well done...
Threshold Lakes Pros. really nice lighting tee boxes well done, esp. liked the stepped ones on #7 Cons some bunkers could have used a little more work #5 retaining wall..finishing could have been better, transition from grass to dirt.. although i did like the rock at the start and end..
Comments. I really liked how this course fit into this theme..I especially liked #'s 7, 16 and 17. This is a very tour worthy course...
WINNER....NENESTIN ESTATES..
Judge 2:
Nenestin Estates G.C. vs Threshold Lakes Golf Resort Nenestin Estates G.C. Nice course, well laid out with clear access paths and obvious routes to next tees. Difficult to find any faults ....except maybe the green grids being visible on some holes outside of the green area, not being a designer i have no idea what that is about as have not seen it before. Course played well, no dodgy pins only thing it lacked for me was the WOW factor Score 8/10 Threshold Lakes Golf Resort First thing i noticed was no clubhouse so once again i had to get the chopper out to be airlifted on to 1st tee. Good greens and for the most part good layout, i did feel however the last 4 or 5 holes did not fir the rest of the course, fairways became like snakes, with more bunkers everywhere 14th hole i was not a fan of, 254 yd par 3 to me is just wrong, stand on the tee with a headwind and you are staring bogey or worse in the face...you should always be able to reach a green in regulation, if you play correct shot. Also the bridge on 14 has a bush at the far end so this would be impassable, bit picky maybe but i like a course that i feel i could be playing in real life. Again leave the 18th green and i have nowhere to go, i am in the middle of a forest. This course also did not have a WOW factor. Score 7/10 Nenestin Estates G.C. is my winner Judge 3:
Nenestin estates v Threshold lakes Nenestin estates felt like i was playing a well done rcr, simple but really enjoyable to play loved the second shot in to the ninth with the clubhouse behind the green, one negative the green grid would appear in the fairway on a few holes Threshold lakes Another beautiful looking course really liked the backdrop with the mountains, really enjoyable course to play aswell, few great looking tee shots and second shots definitely a course that deserves a tour stop Winner so hard to pick both courses play and look great but THRESHOLD LAKES just nicks it Looks like it's going to come down to the wire in our pairing. Best of luck, Pablo! Forcing a tie with one of the top prospects in the comp, and a fantastic golf course, is a great result for sure. Good luck also to you, Jeremy

Good luck also to you, Jeremy Thanks Pablo, hats off on a great effort. Threshold was a great play, and perhaps my favorite of the ones you have produced so far in terms of how it played. Feel fortunate to have advanced and know I'll need a ton of luck against Reeb in the next round. On a side note, @griff, will definitely pin her up just waiting to hear which tour gets first crack at it as there will be a couple of mods I want to make (like getting rid of that blasted green fringe) and I can do some different things mowing or not mowing the runoffs depending on which tour it falls on.

I honestly believe your course should advance, and so it was. The work was great, really liked my rounds there. Good luck in the future, very well done

Phew... Close one. I'm guessing Sam (no tag in case you haven't seen the result) is a bit dissapointed at this stage. I know I would have been. Close call. Bad luck m8. We are eben now right? I know we cant alter the courses, but my grounds crew keeps rolling out wheelbarrows filled with gravel for the cart paths... They keep telling me that they need to replace them. Am I the only one who likes that color? *sob*
